New project - TOS Enterprise 1341-foot version full interior 3D model

Please do tell. What are some of the other ways?

Sure. There are multiple engine rooms in the Enterprise.
From "The Naked Time": SCOTT: Engineers, man your stations. Engine rooms, report.

One possible access way could be from the large portable machinery side like that opening in "The Enemy Within".

Alternatively, we're shown very limited areas of the specific engine room that Riley is poisoned in which opens possibilities of a larger space with multiple paths in and out.

And Riley locked ALL the doors. Scotty just focused on opening one.;)

Or Riley picked the one engine room that only has one way in :)

I think you should try making that a full-height walkway that extends into the deck above. And on that upper deck, sandwich it between two cabins so it's not a traffic impediment.

I'll leave that decision up to @Jim Botaitis . They are his blueprints and I am only adding the third dimension to them. That said, sometimes we've realized some unexpected things after the 3D study and Jim tweaked things as a result.

Fair enough. Of course it could also intersect a curving corridor on the upper deck, providing additional connectivity.

Yes, if the port and starboard crawlways were allowed to extend up into Deck 6, they could be sandwiched between crew quarters. Rearranging quarters means I would lose a few beds. However, I would have to add a new radial corridor to port and starboard so as to provide access to the quarters that are pinched-off between each crawlway and each forward elevator tube. Adding 2 corridors means I would lose a few more beds.
If the forward crawlway were allowed to extend up into Deck 6, the forward radial corridor that exists on Deck 6 would have to be replaced with 2 new corridors so as to provide access to the quarters that are pinched-off between the crawlway and the forward elevator tube to each side.

Quarters caught in the front third of Deck 6 (between the elevtor tubes) can only get out by going down the crawlway to Deck 7.
A radial corridor on each side of the crawlway would have to be added. This means I would lose a few beds.
**********
Both solutions detract from the tri-radial symmetry that exists on Deck 6 right now.

Either way, there is a loss of too many beds to be able to accommodate 432 crew members. I could add crew quarters in the outer ring on Deck 6, but this would make the remaining cargo space outward of the quarters too narrow and too hard to reach.

The attached drawing shows Deck 6 (top left), Deck 7 (top right), Deck 6 - tinted green - on top of Deck 7 - tinted pink - (lower left) and the main corridors, crawlways, and elevators (bottom right).

I'm imagining that the crawlspace (if left as-is) will become a jefferies tube with pipes crossing through and paralleling the tunnel. Although at the midpoint where it is tightest there should be some room for a person to be able to fit through... or not? :)

The crawlspace is really there just to provide crosswise access to the space above the undercut. I imagine that space is used for fuel, water, air, luggage, drugs, Orion slave women, etc.
At the apex, it is too narrow to allow crewmembers to pass, unless perhaps they are very very thin. See image below:

Seems like you could convert the entry ways into a jefferies tube entry to crawl up to the ceiling level and then go horizontal towards the thin part. Or have access panels in the floor to most of the volume in the thinnest parts. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing the whole plan realized into a 3D model. :)

Yes, I could put ladders in the locations where the Enivornmental Lockers (EL) are. I think there are 6 such locations on the inner face of the outermost ring corridor. Good idea. Thank you.
Ladders restricted to "Environmental Engineering Personnel Only" would be appropriate at your Environmental Locker areas...:)

After a long hiatus, I'm getting back to it, with priority on Stage 9 assets. Significant progress made since October!

I thought it'd be fun to model a bunch of the variations we saw of the Briefing Room. These three represent configurations used in Space Seed, Mudd's Women, and Balance of Terror. Any requests for other configurations? If you want to see it, I'll try to model it!

Those look great! Just a few things that are off on the "Balance of Terror" version. There is an alarm panel missing on the entryway and to the right of the door there is a frame or structure that sticks out (next to where McCoy is standing). The pedestal I think needs a cross piece on the support. Also on the wall where the red drapes are they are hanging more vertically in the episode instead of laying at an angle.
But overall it is great and I like the colored lighting out in the corridor and the decorations. :techman:

I'm pretty sure that narrow panel exists solely to cover the (approx) 4½ inch gap that was left over once the internal door section was added, as the Briefing Room wasn't originally designed with that in mind!
(Yeah, I did some nerdy measurements a while back!)

When the Briefing Room was enlarged slightly for Season Two, the side door fitted into place a lot better.

A word of caution to the OP - I very much hope to see this project flourish, but I fear it may experience a similar C&D fate that the Stage 9 project did back in 2018. A lot has happened in the wake of the Viacom/CBS/Paramount merger since then, and maybe things are different now; don't really know, TBH. I recommend proceeding with caution - if the project gets a lot of online notoriety (read: too good compared to licensed material), Paramount's corporate suits may take notice. Aside from that, rock on! Can't wait to see how things pan out.
It's always best to wait and drop a completed fan project when it's in any danger of IP holders getting itchy. Unless of course, it's more of a portfolio piece wherein pictures and clips are all you're really going for and releasing the final thing is secondary to getting noticed.
