Or Riley picked the one engine room that only has one way in
I'll leave that decision up to @Jim Botaitis . They are his blueprints and I am only adding the third dimension to them. That said, sometimes we've realized some unexpected things after the 3D study and Jim tweaked things as a result.

Yes, if the port and starboard crawlways were allowed to extend up into Deck 6, they could be sandwiched between crew quarters. Rearranging quarters means I would lose a few beds. However, I would have to add a new radial corridor to port and starboard so as to provide access to the quarters that are pinched-off between each crawlway and each forward elevator tube. Adding 2 corridors means I would lose a few more beds. If the forward crawlway were allowed to extend up into Deck 6, the forward radial corridor that exists on Deck 6 would have to be replaced with 2 new corridors so as to provide access to the quarters that are pinched-off between the crawlway and the forward elevator tube to each side. Quarters caught in the front third of Deck 6 (between the elevtor tubes) can only get out by going down the crawlway to Deck 7. A radial corridor on each side of the crawlway would have to be added. This means I would lose a few beds. ********** Both solutions detract from the tri-radial symmetry that exists on Deck 6 right now. Either way, there is a loss of too many beds to be able to accommodate 432 crew members. I could add crew quarters in the outer ring on Deck 6, but this would make the remaining cargo space outward of the quarters too narrow and too hard to reach. I'm imagining that the crawlspace (if left as-is) will become a jefferies tube with pipes crossing through and paralleling the tunnel. Although at the midpoint where it is tightest there should be some room for a person to be able to fit through... or not?
@Jim Botaitis Yea, it would be a PITA for you to make those changes now (though doubling up more singles might work.) -------------- IMO, this shouldn't be a consideration. Functionality should trump symmetry.
The crawlspace is really there just to provide crosswise access to the space above the undercut. I imagine that space is used for fuel, water, air, luggage, drugs, Orion slave women, etc. At the apex, it is too narrow to allow crewmembers to pass, unless perhaps they are very very thin. Seems like you could convert the entry ways into a jefferies tube entry to crawl up to the ceiling level and then go horizontal towards the thin part. Or have access panels in the floor to most of the volume in the thinnest parts. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing the whole plan realized into a 3D model.
Yes, I could put ladders in the locations where the Enivornmental Lockers (EL) are. I think there are 6 such locations on the inner face of the outermost ring corridor. Good idea. Thank you.
