Someone brought up the idea this Kirk will segue directly into his own series in 2 years. I don't think they'll do a third version of the voyages of the Enterprise. I've been wrong before though.

A friend of mine craves that flavor. He's always disappointed the only place you can get it year-round is from the soda dispenser at a Taco Bell.

That's probably for the best in my case. I try to only have the Baja Blast and Taco Bell on Saturdays after I work out in the morning, so it all balances out!

Huh, I was trying to find images of Tellarites from Season 2, and came across this observation from Jörg. This Tellarite officer in 'Subspace Rhapsody' has different makeup than the Admiral seen earlier in the season. Interesting. Not just the face but the fingers too. The yellowshirt looks like he has fused fingers making 3 fingers with 5 finger nails, while the admiral just has 3 distinct fingers.

I guess either they were still experimenting with the makeup during production, or they wanted a variety of styles. I like the Admiral's design more.

My preferred course of action would be to skip TOS and go right to immediately following TMP. Wesley would then be age appropriate, too!

That would be my preference as well. But the entertainment value of fans (over)reacting to episodes taking place between episodes of TOS might be priceless.
