It’s not about whether he had sex or not, honestly, I like the idea of them together. It’s about having the general restraint and social tact to keep from blurting out ‘I banged your great great granddaughter’ while encountering a genocidal dictator from centuries past. Even in WoK, when he’s beyond furious with Khan, it would be pretty bizarre for a mature adult to start talking about that. Especially if La’an is still around and potentially on good terms with Kirk.

One thing is that the stripes on the shoulders of the dress uniforms appear to actually match the given ranks of the characters.

I actually wouldn’t mind it if SNW retconned the TOS uniform rank stripes on the sleeves to match what the US navy does to correspond to each rank. Those dress uniforms looked good as hell and I think captains would look neat with 4 stripes, commanders with 3, etc…
