Spoilers The new (massive spoiler) ship!

Frontier Day is the anniversary of “Starfleet.” There is nothing at all in the show stating that it has to do with the NX-01’s launch. Unless they’re retconning the founding of Starfleet as 2151 instead of the actual date it was founded.
Shelby said in her speech that the launch NX-01 lead to 'what we now know as starfleet'.

So she wasn't saying Starfleet was founded with the NX-01's launch, but just lead to the evolution of the modern starfleet.

Shelby makes it clear that it was "250 years ago today the NX-01 launched"

Frontier Day is the NX-01's launch day

Those look gorgeous. I can pretty much pin point the minute I thought the Galaxy class wasn't so bad.....

That's the stuff...

The multibeam targeting phaser shots always get it going, you really get that feeling of "This is a battleship and will absolutely fuck up anything lesser"

It was honestly the first time a Galaxy class felt powerful to me. Sure, we saw the Enterprise-D "one shot" alot of vastly inferior ships before. But this was the first time we actually witnessed it absolutely fuck up an enemy vessel. And the one/two punch of both ships..... superb.

"Two hundred and fifty years ago today the Enterprise NX-01, the first warp-five-capable vessel to be constructed by human hands, made its maiden voyage. With it, a crew of 83 souls embarked on a journey – one of bravery, perseverance, and sacrifice, that would lead to the birth of what we know today as Starfleet." – Admiral Shelby's Frontier Day address as the Enterprise-F leaves Spacedock.

Yeah Dukhat just said he hasn't seen the episode, so his info was out of date but it was an honest mistake

Also shows that apparently no one in DS9 turns their shields on.

That seems to happen a lot in the DS9 battle scenes. I wonder if it's a "tighten the shields against the hull to avoid collisions and help fleet manoeuvrability" thing, so the shields are there, they're just not their usual ovoid shape. "We're coming in close, switch the shields to Undiscovered Country mode!"
