Would it have been less expensive to fake 90s cgi effects, with whatever animation program that they are using today, or did it cost more to make them look worse?
Not that much i guess !

Possibly just an earring Ro used to store all that info. Would Picard have recognized the original earring? The real question on my mind is...
Why did Ro hand Picard Kira Nerys's ear ring and not her own?
Things that make you go...hmmmm.
Another surprise appearance, perhaps?
They both recognized it as Ro's earring. I think the prop department just made a mistake. Why did Ro hand Picard Kira Nerys's ear ring and not her own?
Except its literally Kira's ear ring, the same design and everything. Highly doubt it's a coincidence.Possibly just an earring Ro used to store all that info. Would Picard have recognized the original earring?
Just as likely what @Tuskin38 said. Details are apparently not their area.Except its literally Kira's ear ring, the same design and everything. Highly doubt it's a coincidence.
I thought our Sun, "Sol" was the demarcation for the border between the {(α = Alpha) & (β = Beta)} QuadrantsAnd saying that NYC is not the entire East Coast is exactly my point. The original post said Earth was on the edge of the Alpha Quadrant and therefore the edge of the Alpha quadrant can’t be that far away.
Yes but the point is that the Alpha Quadrant also has a border with the Gamma Quadrant and a border with the Galactic Barrier so saying they’re on the edge of the alpha quadrant doesn’t mean they are near earth (which was the original complaint I was addressing).I thought our Sun, "Sol" was the demarcation for the border between the {(α = Alpha) & (β = Beta)} Quadrants
Earth and the rest of our Solar system just orbits our sun and moves back & forth between parts of the (α & β Quadarants)
Phased how? Like completely unbothered. Also, am I the only one who wasn't really phased by Ro's sacrifice?
Hell, it's not even the first time Picard and Riker have had to personally sort out Starfleet being compromised at the highest levelEveryone acts shocked when Starfleet is "compromised at the highest level" - fucks fucking sake guys, your head of security was a fucking Romulan two seasons ago![]()
She had more to do and more character development before the credits of episode one than she had had in all the TNG movies combined. Shocking.

Wasn’t moved into the Next PhasePhased how? Like completely unbothered.
I felt slightly moved, but I wasn't angry or sad. I was taken by the impressive scene.
I don’t think the pacifist thing made it into the show. Was a comedy trailer bit.Good episode. I get a bit tired of the Worf battle thing. He's the worst pacifist I've ever seen.

He is not a pacifist. I took that to be a joke, but threads are running all over the place like he is. He prefers not having to fight. That's it.Good episode. I get a bit tired of the Worf battle thing. He's the worst pacifist I've ever seen.

We haven't gotten to Worf and Riker on screen together yet, so it's too early to say that.I don’t think the pacifist thing made it into the show. Was a comedy trailer bit.
Ah. It wasn't a tear jerker, but I definitely felt some emotion. But, Ro was one of my favorite characters from TNG so there's that."Phased" as in "fazed" (i.e. brain fart typo). Yeah, it did nothing for me. Everyone is all over Twitter saying how much of a tear-jerker it was. I guess Ro just wasn't that kind of character for me.
You’re right. I forgot it was with Riker. We haven't gotten to Worf and Riker on screen together yet, so it's too early to say that.
