I don't share that opinion, I think it matters. If one doesn't stand up for little things, then the people that did it think it won't matter if they do it for bigger things. Though its just me on a random internet site, so I'm kind of pissing in the wind, Owell, makes me feel better to let it out.

If we were in some alternate world where white people were an oppressed minority, than it would matter.
If your saying it matters one way, than it should matter going the other way. Doesn't matter what race is changed or who's doing it. One also doesn't need a position of power or position of oppression to be wrong.

The default FOR THIS EXAMPLE Is.. uh.. white.. as he was drawn and colored as white in TAS.

So.. same person plays his role in better makeup.. and examples of Trill.. Not an Apples to Apples comparison, more like Apple to a lady bug.. But i do agree, make up, etc. do change, even in the same series.
I always look at things in the reverse, so example, if April was black in TAS and he was cast with a white person in the live action, Most of ya'll would be pissed, as would I, if he was black in TAS, why are they whitewashing him? So, I'm just being the consistant when it concerns any race/gender etc. being changed. Thats it. I was Apoplectic when Scarlett Johanson was cast as Motoko Kusinagi in Ghost in the Shell, and a few other examples.
So Robert April is the Brian Brophy thing of SNW for now is it?
It’s alright. After we’ve seen a few episodes people can go back to complaining about pew-pew, lens flare and characters having feelings.
Gosh though, I hoped there would be a more positive tone in this thread. Regardless of race, I think it’s great we can learn about April.

I have been a member here for over 20 years, I've learned that positivity here is seldom occurring and often short lived...

Sadly I'm not optimistic and any good feelings towards SNW will be short lived.

Trekyards, in their review of the title sequence, also noticed the same two things:
Lack of weight of ships (the enterprise) and overall underwhelming/lackluster CGI.

By weight I suppose they mean mass, as 440m long starships should have a lot of inertia and momentum to overcome when they're moving around.
And yet huge ships, like the Enterprise-D, can stop to an almost instantaneous standstill from full impulse. Why is this a problem now?
