Kira definitely sounds like a human name... but Spock? Please, do go on.
I think English is the default language in EVERY universe.
Never heard of Doctor Benjamin Spock? Spock is an anglicization of the Dutch name Spaak. It's also a variant spelling of names like Speke which derive from a word related to being a wheelwright.
Sounds like someone didn't read up on how to care for babies.

And to be fair, having a passing knowledge of physics, Quark's name was very weird at first too. I'm sure I'll get used to this one very well, especially with her being a supporting character.
