As for strange new worlds I hope we see more catians, Andorians, and what ever Arex's speices is. We could do the things TOS never could because lack of budget and technology! You can say that no matter ho much you like TOS, its limitations show

I always knew them as Edoans (likely from FASA), but I guess Edosian is the more official term these days.
And yes, I would love to see more of those lesser-used species, although I think we're more likely to see them in the upcoming animated series than anything live-action, particularly as a main or recurring character, but I could be wrong.

The kindest thing you could say is maybe the Coke Zero of emotional understanding that is Spock, was thinking mainly of when ‘bad’ Kirk was being a bit of a charmer, as opposed to the whole attempted rape thing. On the plus side, good Kirk and whole Kirk did get it, and did try to make sure Rand knew it wasn’t ‘him’ and also tried to make sure she was ok after everything that happened. But pretty sure a lot of people, men and women, did cringe back then.
