I grinned like a fool when Archer and the NX-01 were mentioned by name. So now we know no Starfleet officer has set foot on Qo'noS in nearly 106 years.

Agreed. She may look and speak like PU Georgiou, but she is a different animal altogether. I hope Burnham will realize this before she completely takes over Discovery to fulfill her agenda (presumably returning to MU and uses Discovery's spore drive and her tech so that she can become Emperor again)

That was great! The show is getting better every week. Not sure how some could say it was boring. A lot of emotional stuff to work through, sure, but this is pretty intense. The new captain at the end was a bad move and sets up a redemption for Burnham. I don’t think I can wait another week!

Great to see another Andorian. Still not a fan of the electronically-modulated voices they're giving them in this timeframe but at least their look is right and they look great.
Prime Lorca appearing is inevitable. Problem is, they won't have him as the series lead. So bringing him back will just be fan service.
I hope the next Star Trek series won't play this game with the leads and the Captains. I want a compelling and charismatic lead from the start, who is also the commanding officer.

Which is amusing because the map of the Kuvat(?) Colony targeted by the human Augments for attack by biogenic weapon in ENT was basically a digital map of Earth with some of the continents altered in shape.
I found this episode pretty mixed. I'd rate it a 7.
In some ways I liked this episode a lot more than the last one. It felt more like "Trek" in a lot of ways. The episode actually had a little bit more of the epic/big universe feel at times that the series has been lacking - perhaps in part due to the more extensive use of extras, and in part because we actually learn some things about the war for the first time in what - eight epiodes? Burnham's arc finally seemed to be going somewhere again. And I actually appreciated a slow, talky episode, along with the Archer reference.
Other things, though, were pretty bad. I don't mind dialogue-driven episodes, but as has been the case in the past with Discovery, there is often too much expository dialogue. People just don't talk on this show in the natural way that real human beings do. Also, someone pointed out a few weeks ago that there are no three-way conversations in Discovery, and ever since then it's driven me crazy. It's just dyad after dyad talking in rooms together.
All the Ash stuff felt stupid, even when the emotional beats were okay. At least we heard someone say that he won't be able to serve, Stamets was still livid, and Burnham didn't forgive him (for now), but overall I just hate that it seems like yep, L'Rell did "fix" him somehow. It basically returns him to where he was before - just a fucked-up dude, but for a different reason.
The Klingons winning the war despite being politically divided was just dumb. Yes they have a "killer app" in the form of a cloaking device, but the idea that a politically divided group of 24 houses, which do not coordinate tactics, strategy, or logistics, could put the Federation on the brink of defeat is just ridiculous. As is the mission, for that matter. I'm no military expert, but it's pretty clear no one writing for the series knows how wars are actually fought.

Too bad because his character is very compelling and I suspect even Good Lorca would be compelling. Saru is too Picard-ish and (sorry TNG fans), Picard was deadly dull most of the time.

I'm going to miss Jason Isaacs but I didn't miss him in this episode. The show certainly did not at all have a void left by Lorca's death. This was a damn good episode and a much needed breather as well after the last episode and before the finale.
