I’ve pretty much resigned myself to needing to having to rotate streaming apps. I’ve got enough already, so I’ll have to switch one off to turn another on. Which will mean it becomes in some ways a battle of the originals and exclusives.
And in terms of originals and exclusives, Netflix has been on a losing slide over the last 18 months. Personally, I think there’s only Stranger Things and Cobra Kai which are definitely remaining there and which are yet to be cancelled. Maybe The Ozarks, too. So, I’ll probably switch ‘Flix off while I sub to P+ and then switch back to Flix when there’s enough on there to binge over a month.
I think many will do the same, which will also, I think mean sub rates will go up for returnees or the competition for retention will hot up. Like, the time lapse for incentivised lower subs to kick in will reduce.
