Isn't that just the Farragut? It's essentially a Miranda minus the rollbar. An SNW take on the Reliant would be interesting.
It's already been confirmed that the season ends with Kirk taken command. So it will probably be that, but with a slightly different crew.My preference would be for one final episodic adventure, not the conclusion to a season plotline, and then the entire crew heads off toward another star system. Pretty much exactly what they did in the last minutes of season 3!
Yep - it definitely is SNW's take on the Miranda Class. An SNW take on the Reliant would be interesting.

In fact according to the Fanhome model booklet, it was directly inspired by the Miranda and even had a rollbar in early concepts but it was removed to make the ship look simpler...
Forgive me if this is a misinterpretation but that kind of implies it is a Miranda just like how the dash-nothing is a Constitution viewed through a better camera.Yep - it definitely is SNW's take on the Miranda Class.
Which one would be ruining the shot by continually teetering forward on their lifts? It would reignite the canon debate and the premise that the 1701 "always" looked like it did in SNW, but a homage to the final Vader/Emperor scene in Revenge of the Sith, this time with Spock and Kirk on a full fledged TOS bridge (shot on one of the TOS bridge recreations or using AI AR walls for filming or whatever), looking out the viewscreen together would be perfect.

Oh, let me add one more thing to this. How about this? Paul Wesley sits in the captain's chair as Kirk for the first time, and after the standard banter between our now assembled crew...
Sulu: "What course should I set, Captain?"
Kirk: (after a moment of consideration)
"Out there... Thataway."
And the ship jumps to Warp, the scene fades out and the credits roll.
ETA -- Oh! TOS end credit music plays over the final credits.

Oh, let me add one more thing to this.
When Kirk used the "thataway" line in TNG and the Enterprise went to warp, it was followed up by a little text card that said, "And the adventure continues..."
Here, text card would read, "And the adventure begins..."![]()
