What Star Trek episodes or films have you been watching lately?

The last episode I watched was TNG Ensign Ro. It's got a decent plot, but it's Michelle Forbes's performance that really makes the episode. One thing I noticed is the implication that the Bajorans were all, or at least to a considerable extent, driven off their planet. Obviously that idea was never picked up on DS9 and I don't even recall any references to there being lots of refugees living on other planets during the occupation.

"Patterns of Force"

The original space Nazis! At times, it's a bit silly. I get that Gill wanted to replicate the totalitarian Nazi Regime, but replicating the Swastikas, weapons, and all the other regalia seems a bit much. It is, of course, a budgetary conceit, but it's still pretty silly. And speaking of a lack of subtlety, these Space Nazis are hunting down the "Zeons." Is the allegory obvious enough for you yet?

Spock's green marks on his back after he has been whipped are a nice touch, though.

I watched Jetrel last night. Great first season episode. I love James Sloyan in any role he's in in Star Trek.

I just watched "Tin Man", one of my all time favorite episodes. It's too bad there was never a follow up to this. It would've been interesting to find how the two fared with each other or if they found others of his species.

"The Tholian Web"

The third season often gets dumped on. From what I recall, that is for good reason, but I think this episode is still quite successful. It seems out of character for Spock to lie to Kirk about the video Kirk left behind in case of his death, but it's a small complaint.

I have actually started watching Star Trek - Remastered recently. I am watching them in chronological order.
First was "The Cage: Extended Version" hosted by Gene Roddenberry. I found his reminiscing rather enjoyable. The jumps from black & white to color and back are distracting, but historically this is a 'must see'. The next evening I watched "The Cage". It was in color and was of a much better quality than I expected.

Last night I watched "Charlie X". These early episodes show that TOS had some rich drama even in the 1960s.

It's extremely improbable that all, or the majority, of the inhabitants of a planet would be driven off it. In the RL cases when many refugees flee a region or country, it's usually not all of them, but a minority - and a planet has far more inhabitants. It's hard to imagine a billion people or more running away in shuttlepods and other spacecrafts and Cardassians just letting them leave! It's likely that there would have been many refugees, but the vast majority of Bajorans still lived under Cardassian occupation.

That said, they really should have mentioned the issue of Bajoran refugees in DS9 - how many have returned, if some didn't want to return since many were probably not even born when their parents fled and had lived all their lives off Bajor, etc.

There are episodes in the third season I consider easily top ten of the series. This one and Enterprise Incident are two examples, but you also have The Empath which has an awesome atmospheric tone, and Requiem for Methuselah, which is a personal favorite.

"Is There in Truth No Beauty?" is one of my favorites. It was something very different from the usual TOS story.

I have watched Phase II: Blood and Fire, ST: Phoenix, TOS: Doomsday Machine, STNG: Sins of the Father, Reunion, The Chase, Inheritance, Suspicions, Interface, Pen Pals, Q Who, DS9: Adversary

See Dennis they still love ya!

Finished watching "Menage a Troi" and I hated this time as much as I did previously. However, I am getting ready to watch BoBW and this has me quite excited.

Star Trek (2009) on Blu Ray

Whoa! Totally awesome! This is my 4th viewing of the film so far (1st on Blu Ray) and it is still just an absolutely amazing film. Granted, I still have a few minor nitpicks with it. But they are very small and insignificant to the awesomeness to the majority of the film, though.

I mean, the detail in the sets, special effects, characterization, story, sound effects, and music is just really impressive.

I just love it. Definitely my #1 favorite Trek film (hands down). And I have been a Trek fan since the airing of TNG.

For the longest time I wasn't a fan of the Wrath of Khan. However, upon a recent viewing of it about a month or so ago, it is absolutely one of my top favorite Trek films now.

However, JJ Abram's Star Trek is still my #1 fave at the moment.

For 27 minutes now, 'Sub Rosa' has been on. (I guess it's on some FOX channel...?)

Anyway, I'll have to watch it later on when I'm not distracted by working on the computer....looking at Trektoday (and other sites)...etc....

So, far I don't see anything wrong with the episode. Too, I'm a Beverly Crusher fan (not of the 1st season Beverly, mind you); and I think she is hotter looking (as I'm watching it now) than Deanna Troi...
