What is the status of the Dominion after the treaty?

There is no such thing as a book dubbed as canon, so any fan-made speculation is just as valid as what any book says.

I say the great link overthrew Odo in about 4 days, renounced the insane action of the female Founder (surrendering), and then came storming through the wormhole for Dominion War II in another couple of months after that.

Currently in the novels, the Dominion is essentially keeping to itself in the Gamma Quadrant. The Female Changeling is being held in an uber-supermax Federation prison.

You do know who's waiting for them in the Wormhole now? Space-Hawk with all that insane Prophet magic at his disposal.

Except for, y'know, how the Dominion is now entirely run by Odo and Laas because all the other Founders bounced out.

Well, the Dominion wasn't harmed in the least by the war since it stayed out of the Gamma Quadrant. They're as powerful as they ever were while the AQ will spend the next decade rebuilding itself.

Well, they did transfer some resources to the Alpha Quadrant and probably lost much of these in the war. And don't forget the several thousand ships strong fleet whisked away by the Prophets. Do we know what happened to them?

They're being led by Dukat in a war with the Daleks and Cybermen in the void.

That's a good point though, that was a hell of a lot of ships.

We are growing, we are powerful!!! The force we used in the AQ was a mere fraction. Attack us and you will fall.

The Dominion would probably just continue with what it has done for thousands of year, bring order to chaos. In term of military infrastructure the Dominion was undamaged by the war and given its possible industrial might in the 2 years it was cut from its forces in the AQ it could have replaced the forces it sent originally, so at the end of the war the returning forces could actually strengthen the Dominion. So the Dominion would be in the unique situation where it lost a war but ends up stronger then it was before the start, which would be the stark opposite to all the other major participates of the Dominion War.

So I've heard, but the Dominion did lose a large amount of resources.

^ I wouldn't say "huge" - they still had a huge GQ fleet regardless, Jem'Hadar production is pretty streamlined... I mean, we had to annex a few planets to make up for it, according to WoDS9's Dominion story but... no big deal.
