I'd love some suggestions but anyone have any suggestions for an open world type of game where there is not too much killing and exploration is encouraged?

Are the old Wing Commander games any good? I've been curious about them ever since I found out the live action sequences had actors like Mark Hamill, Malcolm McDowell, and John Rhys-Davies in them.

Was playing Rise of the Tomb Raider on my xbox 360 yesterday, unlocked three new achievements - "The Price of Truth" (finish the game on any difficulty), "Voices of the Past" (collect 75% of all narrative assets - relics, murals, and documents), and "Weaponsmith" (fully upgrade any weapon). Still only 85% complete with the game, and there are 60 more achievements to unlock.
If I got them it would be the downloadable versions on GOG.com, so I'm not sure how much of an issue that would be.They're good when you get them working. I remember them being a pain in the ass to get working perfectly in order to get video and sound to function properly. Lots of tweaking of files and playing with memory.
Seeing them on GOG is what got me curious about them. I was aware of them because I'm a big fan of a lot of the actors involved, but I never considered playing them until I saw them on GOG. I'm in the US and they're $5.99 each here, so it's a pretty good deal.1 and 2 and Privateer are all awesome, cracking stories and great gameplay, 3,4 and Prophcey are fine but in my view went too far down the full motion video route and they lost that WC all done in animation look and feel from the first two....but if you have never tried any of them then you are in for a treat, and they are all avalible of GOG and quite cheap as well, al under £5 i believe, or you could wait for a GOG bundle sale, they are always very good value.
The originals or remasters?I finished Spyro 2 a few days ago and now I'm playing Spyro 3.
A few games of Chess against the computer. I lost each time, the program is way stronger than me.
The remasters.The originals or remasters?
would hate to try and get them to work via dosbox
