I've been playing some more MK X, and its still fun. The three variations per character do play fairly differently, which is cool (it even changes up combos, which messed me up when I tried a version of Sub Zero that was different then the main one I had been trying). I did one of the changing ladders (this one based on MK II) and then beat arcade mode both with Cryomancer Sub Zero. SZ is my favorite MK character, and after a bit of time getting used to him I had a good deal of fun. The arcade mode main boss is better then the MK9 one in my opinion. With Shao Kahn I always felt like I had to just exploit certain things about him until I won/ With Shinnok, it felt more like a normal fight, but in a good way. In fighting games I'm a purely vs AI player, which is good because I did a test online match and got killed immediately
I got a SZ skin for beating arcade mode and coins for the Krypt, its cool that the game has stuff to unlock along side DLC (the DLC mostly not being an issue because Mortal Kombat XL has all of the DLC except one or two skins).
I have No Man's Sky updating right now. I found that if you put the disc in and start the update, you can remove the disc and still download the patch stuff, so that's what I've been doing so I can play some MK X (I just have to put the disc back in to install the patch).
