So?The shenzhou and discovery have touch screens, the TOS Connie didn't
Maybe they where made by different development groups.

I've been looking for some hi-rez pics of the 2260s USS Enterprise and I came across this page. I think some of the pictures look good, though the saucer rim could be better I admit in the entering spacedock picture:

That's pretty neat. Are there more pics of it somewhere?Personally I'd love to see something like this

That's only if Berman is running the show. And, there's one thing I'm 100% confident about. He won't be running the show! A post Nemesis show doesn't have to have that boring stuff. If they decide to ever go back to post NEM/25th century era - they can count me out as I'm sure they'll have replicator wands that can materialize anything out of thin air; and mankind so well adjusted and in agreement they won't have to speak because everyone will be thinking the same way. Plus I'm sure the Bridge would be on big Conference Room where they can debate how right the Federation stance is - or debate how to disperse the latest particle of the week with there Deflector dish (YMMV)![]()
CAN I GET AN AMEN???!!!!Guys, TOS was 50 freaking years ago. A set made on a TV show in 1966 is not gonna have stuff we think in 2017, they will have in 2250
I'm actually optimistic that they'll find a way to fit it in. It wouldn't be a regular either, of course. So, the solution just has to work for a few episodes. The issue is, they can not and will not show the TOS version. It simply does not fit. But if they show it and have updated it, fans will grash teeth. If they do not show it, fans will gash teeth. If they do not update it...only a tiny group of fans will like it and most new fans will be super confused as to why a ship that looks like an old clunker is being shown next to sleek sexy designs as just 10 years older.
Unfortunately I can't find anymore renders of this specific version of Hunter G's Enterprise. That's pretty neat. Are there more pics of it somewhere?
If they decide not to do that - then they should just come right out and say this is a FULL re-imagining based on the TOS 'Prime Universe' and not say that teh show is actually set in the TOS 'Prime Universe as they have been.
Haven't they said this? All they need to say is that it is set in the Prime timeline but they've updated the visuals. Simple.
This might also be Hunters work but it might also be a different artist all together. Still love these detailed takes on the old design. Throw on some new hull textures, gorgeous lighting, and some detail refinement and it would fit right in with Discovery. That's pretty neat. Are there more pics of it somewhere?
Probably but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears.Haven't they said this?
True!Probably but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

...but would be a bit disappointing for me.
If you want to do something epic, then reboot and do something epic. Don't nip around the edges of a fifty-year old TV show.
