BTW, when I first read the second line, I thought it referred to a person - you know, like a right-hand man? This would have been a very different limerick if I'd written line 3, and most of you would have gone, like, "Huh?" Since when is Spock Kirk's right hand?" So it's definitely for the best.

But alas, was alone in a bar.

And that would have been fairly mean...
