Spoilers The Strange New Worlds Starship Thread™

Keep in mind the SNW Enterprise was meant to establish a more smooth visual continuity to the TMP+ Enterprise and Enterprise-A

in general shape sure. But the top of the saucer, with the extra lights and bridge window, the huge impulse engines, etc…all would probably be carried over from the Discoprise. I don’t think they would completely overhaul the look but I do think it would look more like a natural successor to the Discoprise.

I was talking about the exterior.

The interior would be entirely redesigned for a new show.

oh yeah for sure. I’d bet they add carpet to the bridge and it looks closer to the Final Frontier version…just bigger.

Given that we *know* that the TNG timeline and the SNW are the same (Thanks Picard S1)..its pretty clear that at some point starfleet drifts away from the "window on the bridge" thing..even the Titan-A isn't really a window

Even 23rd century flagship models have droopy trouble :D

I read that radius measurement as 18 feet, but that's a guess.

For this comparison, I assumed 16 feet instead of 18, for two reasons: one is as likely as the other, and I liked the outcome better at 16 feet.

Totally scientific.

And I'd say they did a pretty good job. Makes the refit alot more believable.

And in resizing the refit, what would you really need to change from what had been previously somewhat established? Just say the windows and airlock are a little bit bigger and you're done.

That might be as late as the 2380's though as the USS Rubidoux from lower decks definitely had one (yet the Cerritos did not so maybe its all just captain's preference?)

Shrink the airlocks and windows, thats all. Part of the issue with making the airlocks larger is you'd need to scale the travel pods also.

If you keep the pods the same size and just shrink the ports, it solves the issue
