Outstanding!
Reading through the article it just sounds like someone saw The Armourer's helmet, or an early iteration/test casting of it.Something that I just remembered that I posted in the anticipation thread-- Sabine's helmet was allegedly spotted amongst the props and molds back in late 2018 before the first season even wrapped.

I still think it's just up to who's had more experience playing in live action roles. It makes me wonder if there was some specific reason they didn't want Ashley Eckstein to play her.
I wonder if whatever happened with Bo-Katan will help reconcile the differences between the Clone Wars and Rebels Mandalorians, and this show's Mandalorians?
Eckstein doesn't really have any live-action credits in the last decade; she's been voice acting and creating Her Universe. Sackhoff has a lot more live-action experience.Awsome! The fact that they're bring Sackhoff back is a bit of a surprise after recasting Ahsoka. It makes me wonder if there was some specific reason they didn't want Ashley Eckstein to play her.
Was not aware. I will keep that in mind.Sorry Turtletrekker - I''ll take your word for it - but I'm not clicking on that link; the owner of that site really is a piece of work - and has been for many years (+ not just over what has happened of late).
Not even a little bit surprised. Indeed I've been waiting for this announcement ever since December (I think?) when Sackhoff tweeted out that she'd just (words to the effect of) done something very cool that she considered a career high point. Given that's when they were filming season 2, it wasn't hard to put two and two together.According to /film we will indeed be seeing Katee Sackhoff returning as Bo Katan...

Well first off, keep in mind that unless I missed something the live action Ahsoka rumours are still just that (though I'm about 90% sure it's real.) Regardless; Bo Katan looks like Katie Sackhoff in a red wig. The same is not true of Ahsoka and Ashley Eckstein. I really wouldn't read any more into it than that.Awsome! Remember all those leaks about Baby Yoda (or the Darksaber or anything else they actually wanted to keep a secret) when they were filming season 1? Yeah, me neither. So, have all these new people already portrayed these roles in the upcoming Season 2? Reason I ask, is that S2 has wrapped filming as of March 8 and all this new information is coming out now. Why didn't it come out earlier when they were doing the filming? Or was their on-set security that good as to not let anything leak until now?
Good point. They must be orders of magnitude better at keeping those things under wraps than anyone in Star Trek productions.Remember all those leaks about Baby Yoda (or the Darksaber or anything else they actually wanted to keep a secret) when they were filming season 1? Yeah, me neither.
What does Kevin McKidd have to do with The Mandalorian? Also, even if next season isn't Grey's Anatomy's last, it's likely Kevin McKidd is probably leaving anyway. Just throwing that out there.
Yeah, I'd actually mentioned that Rosario Dawson looks more like Ahsoka in an earlier post. I just thought that since they recast Ahsoka, that they would be recasting any animated characters who made the crossover to live action, so I was surprised to hear about Katie Sackhoff.Well first off, keep in mind that unless I missed something the live action Ahsoka rumours are still just that (though I'm about 90% sure it's real.) There were some scenes in "Heros of Mandalore" that implied there was some sparkage between Bo and Rau. At the very least, he pledged his loyalty to Clan Kryze. And there's no reason not to think he'd still be following her by the time of Mando. And McKidd looks at least as much like Rau as Sackhoff does Bo.What does Kevin McKidd have to do with The Mandalorian?
