Spoilers The Mandalorian | Disney+ | Streaming Nov. 12

That did bother me.
Now, this is just me pulling it directly out of my hyperdrive, but Greef Karga set Mando up to be killed by these guys. It's entirely possible he knew the frequency Mando used, and they monitored that channel waiting for him to give something away. It's also possible that Mando panicked during the firefight and just blasted it out on an emergency frequency. There are a few possible explanations.

Actually expect more. You think one Baby Yoda is great people will love 2 when we are indroduced to his sister! Then a whole village of Baby Yoda being looked over by Jar Jar. Jason
I'm really hoping that the end of Baby Yoda's story arc is him and Mando is finding the Yoda homeworld and Mando leaving him in their care. I know this might be seen as blasphemy to some, but it's been 30 years since Yoda was introduced, I think it's about time we get some solid information on his species.

Planet full of Force sensitive chain smokers. Which is why they are small and green.

Episode 7 question
Why would Mando be communicating with Kuiill on a com line that the imperials could listen in on? Mando is an expert at this stuff. It's his job. Why would that happen? Am I missing something?
You might not be missing anything. It might be the storm troopers missing something by not asking the same question.

Have we actually made it 7 episodes without an appearance by a movie, Clone Wars or Rebels character? I was expecting some kind of appearance by someone from one of the other movies or shows, and unless I'm forgetting someone, we actually haven't yet.

We had an appearance from the relative of a Clone Wars character. Jon Favreau played Pre Visla in Clone Wars and then played Paz Vizla in The Madalorian.

That's kind of borderline, but I was thinking more along the lines of the major characters themselves. I actually wouldn't mind if they snuck in our first live action appearance of someone from Rebels, like Hera or Sabine.

I think they're wisely avoiding that kind of thing for now. Though it's *possible* we've already seen Boba Fett show up in 'The Gunslinger' and there's rumours and *very* circumstantial evidence pointing to Bo Katan possibly being involved to some degree in season 2...
Still, I kinda prefer that they save it for something that actually matters to the story. It's a big galaxy and most of the characters we'd be familiar with are galactic heroes at this point and not likely to cross paths with the bottom-feeders that make up most of this show's characters.

I agree it's a good thing it didn't happen. It was a smart move to avoid any distracting cameos and just focus on developing the show's new characters.

What I got a kick out of was the difference between The Client's Stormtroopers vs Gideon's. The Client's were dirty, and we saw them just kind of standing around casually as they went into the town, but then Gideon's were spotless, and much more professional.
I think most of the background troopers for Gideon were actually the members of the 501st Legion, right? Wearing their own personal armor. So their own desire to keep their armor spotless in real life helped to communicate some info about Gideon and his troops in our beloved fictional universe too. Very handy.

By the way, it really should be pointed out that Deborah Chow directed this episode. The other one she directed was Chapter 3 The Sin, when Mando took back Baby Yoda (by the way, I wonder if and when we'll see that scientist guy again) and then had the big firefight between other bounty hunters and Mandalorians at the end.

Of course, full credit to Favreau and Filoni too, but I've seen a fair number of folks mention that these are their two favorite episodes.

We could be in for a seriously good and exciting Obi-Wan series with her in charge of it! Time to start getting your hopes up!

He really does play an excellent villain. Truly conveys a deep sense of danger just watching his facial expressions and listening to the tone in his voice. Always liked that about him.
