Spoilers The Mandalorian | Disney+ | Streaming Nov. 12

Those would be the unemployed Conferderate soldiers, now mercenaries, post-Civil War in a western. I was really enjoying those two. Except it's odd they keep wearing helmets in their off hours. Or even armor, unless there's blasters happenin at any moment's notice.
This is the Way, er, maybe they're air conditioned and so really really comfy?

Stormtooper weren't see as individuals in the empire, just numbers and armour. So It's not surprising that they would always have their helmet on.

I just hope Kuiil isn't dead. He became a fast favorite. I'm a big fan of the quiet types who live by their word and just want peace.

I think he’s still alive. I suspect the scout shot the Blurrg he was riding and the fall just knocked him out. Now, that’s not to say he may not die a supremely righteous death later on, probably in the process of saving Mando and IG-11 from a dire situation in the finale.

I think it takes away from the ending if he hasn't died. His death plus the abduction should inspire a level of rage we haven't seen before in him. Jason

I like (liked?) him but I think leaving him unceremoniously crumpled on the desert floor is such a powerful image. Especially in Star Wars where deaths are usually big purposeful events and often only semi-permanent. When I saw that I was like "Damn...".

Well, lemme ask you all this: Did you give just a little internal cheer when Spock was restored at the end of TSFS, or did you think it wrecked his TWOK sacrifice and completely nullify the purpose of the preceding movie? Be honest, now... ;)

How would it be if David had been resurrected as well?

I had a crazy thought (in the shower, no less) what if the troopers had run up on Kuiil lying there at the ramp with IG-11 standing over with a smoking blaster?

Nah...nobody liked David. :). TSFS did require a “one-up” sacrifice of the Enterprise herself, however, in order to balance the resurrection of Spock - a life for a life. And, they did bring her back (in a slightly different form) in TVH - another cheer-out-loud moment in the theater for everyone.

That might make for an odd twist. It does bring to mind the question, where was IG-11 when all this went down? One would think that Kuill would have programmed in some bodyguard protection algorithms as a part of the rebuild. You may be right that IG could be an X-factor wildcard in the finale.

Exactly. I don't want him to be dead, but the imagery would definitely be ruined. From an artistic standpoint a gut punch like that followed by a "Psyche! Just kidding!" is a joke.

It took the whole freaking next movie to get Spock restored, though. To have Kuiil to just pop up and go "tis a scratch" is totally different.

I'd get over it, but it's totally different.

Now, nobody seems to really be wondering how IG-11 is going to play into this. Will he save Kuiiil? Will he then take the Razor's Crest and come rescue the Magnificent 3½?

Does Season 1 end with Kevin (well, gotta call him something) captured by the Imp and Season 2 will be entirely about getting him back?

I'm going to pull the trigger and get that Baby Yoda plushie at some point. I'd like to see it first. I did finally find a knock-off I could be happy with giving a young infant.

Episode 7 question
Why would Mando be communicating with Kuiill on a com line that the imperials could listen in on? Mando is an expert at this stuff. It's his job. Why would that happen? Am I missing something?

I guess they're just that good at this stuff.

Not sure about plot stuff but to me it's become clear this season has been about Mando finding a new family. The season will end with IG-11 and Cara Dune joining Mando and Baby Yoda as a team/family. He ends the threat to Baby Yoda and takes his helmet off for the audience/Baby Yoda for the first time. Maybe season 2 is about Droids and Droid slavery from someone who hates droids. Plus allows them to go more into his background. Jason

I hope Baby Yoda gets dropped off somewhere for permanent safekeeping soon. We need a different shtick for the second season. I have spoken.

Actually expect more. You think one Baby Yoda is great people will love 2 when we are indroduced to his sister! Then a whole village of Baby Yoda being looked over by Jar Jar. Jason
