When I heard this I thought; this would make a great title for just about anything, movie, book, song, poem, restaurant, anything.

Stands to reason that the keeper of the "pre-Good Place", would be totally susceptible to lies and deception, since those are things she probably has never come into contact with. I also liked her hesitation an consideration before inevitably agreeing to everything, initially.

I like how she failed to shake her fist.

You have one group that follows rules and ethical codes and is absolutely trusting, one group that follows rules and regulations to the letter with no moral opinion, and one group that just likes torturing humans. So it makes sense that nobody would question whether the old established rules still make sense.

So Michael's only hope of breaking through the inertia of a multi-tiered bureaucracy is Maya Rudolph being bored enough to entertain a major case.

One awesome thing about the Good Place is every time they hype something up they actually deliver something cool.

The CGI in the IHOP was super dodgy...but that actually made it work even better. The weird thing was the lighting in the IHOP facade because it looked like they were all standing in front of a green screen of a restaurant instead of an actual set.

Anyways, now we know the set up for the season will be, assuming the whole "let's recreate Michael's experiment" doesn't come crashing down in the final minutes and Shawn gets to enact his penisbees plan. I hope it doesn't immediately fail because I think that's an interesting thought process to work through, at least for a few episodes before Shawn and his cronies inevitable try to mess with the experiment.

Considering the episode title, I thought we were going to see more about the time knife. Oh, well.

It seemed to me like Eleanor was going to have to be Michael and improvise dangerously.

That was definitely the impression I got at the end.
Man, I love how unpredictable this show is, I have not once been able to figure out where the show is going.
I loved the stuff with the IHOP, and even though it was a short bit the Time Knife thing was pretty funny. I loved how Chidi's mind was completely blown and all of the cosmic being were so casual about it.
Definitely very curious to see where the story with this new neighborhood will go. Is this going to just be another short arc like most of this season has been, or will this go on for a while? Since they have a year, I'm thinking it probably won't go beyond the end of this season at the most.

Edit: Also possibly Eleanor’s mom. The rules were, they had to be equally bad as the original four. They never said they couldn’t know the original four.

I'm thinking about what we know about Shawn and also what we might expect from the writers.

No way this experiment just goes good, and no way it just goes bad. It has to bring up something personal for the main characters. And who's to say, one of those people didn't just die?

Given the season finale is titled 'Pandemonium', I'm thinking all does not go well.

I found it interesting that they are building Michael's new neighborhood in the medium place, behind Mindy St Claire's house. That seems to support my theory that the Medium Place is going to become the new normal place that people go to when they die. My theory is that the point system is so complex now that most people can't go to the Bad Place or the Good Place anymore so most people will go to the Medium Place.

That was my thought at well. Maybe they'll even leave Micheal, and Eleanor and the others there to be in charge of it.
