Clearly the solution here is that I take over Star Trek and then I hire a very creatively stifled Ron Moore to write the best episodes.

I forgot about that. It seems the only anniversary that was worth anything in "recent memory" was the 25th.

How sad...

I dunno, the 30th in 1996 had some worth to it. We had the release of First Contact as well as TOS crossover episodes on DS9 and Voyager, and I think there was a TV special to celebrate the anniversary? Maybe not as grand as it could have been, but not nothing either.

Of course, no one has ever matched the grandeur of Doctor Who's 50th anniversary celebrations. Now that's how to celebrate a franchise's milestone.

20th anniversary had the release of TVH in theatres.

25th was TUC and the "Unification" two-parter in the fifth season of TNG.

30th was DS9's "Trials and Tribble-ations", VOY's "Flashback" and the release of FC.

35th was the ENT premiere "Broken Bow".

50th was the release of BEY.

55th was S2 of LD, S4 of DIS and the launch of PRO.

There's usually always something for a Trek anniversary.
