The 60th Anniversary??

both the KT and the prime timeline have a shared past pre-2233.
I don't think that's quite reconcilable these days, there's a few too many leaps. Less of a headache to see it as one of those very similar different flavours of cake universes until 2233 resulted in a  massive divergence.

How is it any different than the differences between TOS and SNW? And CBS keeps telling us it’s the same universe.

Abrams made it a point to mention in the film that the timeline diverged after Nero’s incursion. How is him saying that the KT and the prime universe shared the same past pre-2233 any less legit than CBS saying their shows are all in the same continuity despite all the differences they have?

Could not disagree more on PIC S3. It was fantastic. And if Rotten Tomatoes is any guide, 97% of people agree with me. And fan worshipping Berman era Trek has nothing to do with it, that is in your head, but certainly not mine, or likely anyone else's.

Picard season 1, at Patrick Stewart's request, took Picard's story somewhere new. It was bold, if not entirely successful. By season 3, it was TNG season 8 instead of Picard season 3, with some of its most interesting characters shuffled safely out of the spotlight. And the story logic... in order to keep her son safe from Picard's enemies, instead of letting the kid live a life of comfort and luxury and peace in France like Picard's been doing, Crusher goes into a lawless region of space full of pirates and criminals, and gets him doing a dangerous job. Then we get the stupidity of all of Starfleet's ships gathering in one place. Familiar old TNG faces popping up to get killed off. Then there's episodes in which dozens or hundreds of Starfleet personnel are killed off and Picard's only concern is whether his kid is okay. The story is an utter mess carried by the old TNG gang and the viewers' nostalgia.

We obviously disagree, and you seem to dislike it reflexively anytime NuTrek honors older Trek. Regardless if it done well or not. Or so it seems to me.

Interesting take, but no. All of the new Trek series honour the older ones. Some especially honour TOS, the one that started it all, and still the source of many of the franchise's best stories. That's as it should be. I just think that Picard should be Picard, not TNG. We've already had TNG. One of the most powerful pre-Matalas Picard episodes is "Nepenthe." In season 3, Matalas has Riker and Troi laughing about how stupid that was. He trashed the work of the people who created the show he was working on.

I'd take Legacy in a heartbeat. It is out beyond Pic3 on the timeline, in undiscovered territory.

I'd like Legacy as long as anyone other than Matalas runs it. I think Prodigy should have at least another season. I'm interested in how Starfleet Academy plays out. I'm not convinced we'll get another movie any time soon, though.

Agreed with this 100%. Prodigy had a ton of callbacks and tie-ins to the franchise, but it did it in the correct way where each reference specifically enhanced and played into the story they were trying to tell. Compare that to Picard season 3, which was littered with references just to titillate the audience with little if any impact to the "story," such as there was; a Frankenstein's monster of references barely held together by pins and glue.

When done correctly, nostalgia and memberberries should just be the appetizers to the meal. Picard S3 is an entire meal consisting entirely of appetizers, which is not the way to go.
