There's reincarnation with Hawkman and Hawkgirl, but it doesn't go linear through time and space, so they have been Thanagarian, they have been human, there even was a Hawk on Krypton once, and a Hawk from the future could die and be reincarnated in the past, and right now there are actually two different Hawkgirls, Shiera and Kendra, who are both part of that reincarnation cycle.

Isn't the current Hawkgirl from Earth? Kendra Saunders?

In the comics, both Shayera from Thanagar and Kendra from Earth are around. They are both reincarnations of the original Hawkwoman at different places in their personal timelines. That's assuming the Hawkman series from a few years ago is still valid in current continuity.

As for the Gunnverse, JG has apparently stated that Kendra's wings are a part of her body.

EDIT: Looks like we posted the same thing at the same time.

Looking at the Engineer, who has a mate in The Authority with Wings.

We could be pending for a dramatic misdirect?

That's an interesting idea, and might work considering that Hawkgirl doesn't have qualms about killing. I could see her fighting alongside Midnighter. In universe, it would be an interesting development to have the authority form at the same time as the Justice League with a JL vs The Authority movie down the road.

It always seemed to me that all Connery, Lazenby, Moore and Dalton were all the same character. The thing that tied everyone of them together was the death of his wife. It happened in Lazenby's movie, Connery's next one opens with him like a madman chasing after blofeld, and it was mentioned in both Spy Who Loved Me and License To Kill.

Plus my earlier comment was in regards to Superman Returns actually being advertised as a movie that takes place after 1 and 2 and pretending none of the other sequels existed. If there were other franchises that came out and said "ignore the sequels" I'm not familiar with them. I dont ever remember a Bond movie doing that before Casino Royale.
I think they were loosely the same guy but Pierce is too young to have been making jokes about the Beatles while fighting Goldfinger in the early 60s and it’s hard to imagine Dalton’s version of Bond on that space station from Moonraker.

I don’t recall if SR was advertised like that per se, but certainly it does seem to have been how the makers described it.

.
They're all the same guy (Lazenby's joke notwithstanding) but the series was soft-rebooted with each new Bond actor, with a bit of the classic "comic book sliding timeline" thrown in for good measure.
