Spoilers Supergirl - Season 1

But isn't Flash a lot faster than Supergirl? We haven't really seen Supergirl use her speed but we have seen Flash run so fast that he is breaking the time barrier.
Didn't we just see Supergirl's speed in this last episode? I would love to see a race between both of them.

I'm wondering if, on the return to Earth-One, Barry get's "lost" and ends up on Supergirl's Earth having an adventure with Kara. On "The Flash" there's a bit of delay with Barry coming back, but then he's back and all "whoa...I just got back from another Earth, let me tell you guys about it" cut to commercial break.

Well, except the visit to Earth-2 is next week and this crossover isn't until 7 weeks later. I doubt The Flash will be spending 7 weeks on Earth-2, although that would be kind of awesome.

I think Lensman just gave the scenario where they mention it on FLash, but then cut away so we get no spoilers, and Supergirl proceeds 7 weeks later.

Or, better yet...they are on the same Earth, opening it up later on.

My whole family is excited.

Awesome news! A bit surprised that it appears to be only a one-way crossover, but I suppose it makes sense that CBS wouldn't want Supergirl's additional viewers to all feel obligated to watch Flash the following night for the conclusion (I'm sure Flash will still acknowledge those events, but it just won't be an official second part of the story).

And I know it wasn't part of the announcement, but I'm really really hoping they find a way for Cisco to crossover with Barry as well. Because his reaction to Kara and interactions with the other Supergirl characters would just be freakin hilarious to see. And maybe even more fun than seeing Kara and Barry together. :D

CBS will allow The Flash to appear on their show but they're not going to "sully" their hands by putting one of their properties on a CW show. ;)

Really looking forward to it.

I don't see why you would. It sounds like it's just going to be Barry coming to Supergirl, so I doubt it'll have any impact on his show.

Well, i was on the fence with Supergirl, I hadn't decided if I should give it up or not. This tilted the show back into the "keep watching" category for me. So, I'll keep watching, at least until after the crossover. If nothing else, it will be interesting to see if The Flash showing up can reduce Cat Grant's screen time from (what feels like) 30-35 minutes an episode to something more appropriate for a character whose name isn't in the show's title :shifty:

Honestly though, I like Supergirl as a character. I want to see her team up with The Flash. I'm just sick and tired of Cat Grant getting what feels like as much if not more screen time than Supergirl per episode. The show wouldn't even be in danger of being dropped by me if it wasn't for Cat Grant. So, I can wait for the crossover and then reevaluate whether or not its worth suffering through Cat's scenes to see the bits of Supergirl stuff they give the viewers per episode.

I want to see Cisco and Cat have a nickname-off. "'Reverse Flash'? That's seriously the best you could come up with?" "Oh, yeah, like 'Bizarro' is any better?"

Well Flockhart is the biggest name actress on the show, so it kinda makes sense she would have a fairly large role. Although I think it's just people who find her annoying that think she's got too much screen time.

As someone who really enjoys the character and the dynamic she has with Kara, I don't think she has too much screen time at all.

Cat was hardly in the latest episode at all. She had screentime but it felt like less than 10 minutes to me and not even close to 20, let alone 30.

Wow, what show are you watching?
Because that's very much not what this series protagonists would or should do.

So what do you do with a rich enemy who made his life's priority your destruction? That's what Lord is doing , and as he's not broken any law that would send him to jail/end his threat, again--what do you do? Spew flighty, naive theories that Lord does not give two craps about (handcuffing yourself) while he spends his endless resources trying to end your life?

And Cisco and Winn could also argue over who's the better computer hacker, and who designed the better superhero costume....

and as she's not broken any law that would send him her to jail/end his her threat, again--what do you do?

That's literally Max Lord's reasoning for trying to kill Supergirl.
He's the villain in case you haven't noticed.

Yes he is.
Still gotta race though :techman:
Flash technobabble has him breaking the time barrier by only running Mach 2 (IIRC)...so that doesn't necessarily mean he's as fast as you'd think he'd be in order to do that.

Apparently, you're the one having trouble identifying villains, since you seem intent on creating nonexistent reason why Alex and/or Supergirl should not eliminate Lord--a threat to their lives.

Deadline Hollywood confirmed that the crossover is a "one-way street" for now and only features Barry because he's the only character with the ability to travel between dimensions.

See, that's what I don't get. WB owns all the characters and all the shows and the CW and they all have the same Showrunners. Why is National City considered another dimension just because it's on CBS? It's not like DC can't have a bunch of BS cities all in one universe. That's kind of how it works.

It's not; Supergirl's Earth is a separate dimension from the "Flarrow"-verse's Earth-1 because Superman doesn't exist (yet) on the "Flarrow"-verse's Earth-1 whereas he does - and has for 30+ years - on Supergirl's Earth.

Okay. Copy that...

...it's just more DC multiple Earth stupidity...
