Strange New Worlds Intro

Nobody writes theme music anymore like the folks from the past.

Those kinda great Movie/TV theme composers are few and far between now-a-days.

You only get a Goldsmith, Jarre, Silvestri or Williams once in a lifetime.

Thanks for the new link!
Yeah, they accidentally labelled him as Rebecca Romijn so they took it down and fixed it lmao

Rather the prodigy intro.. Just sounds better.thr Snw.. It's not .. Unique..

Looks like a fan made intro.. Meh.

A 2 steps from hell music would have sounded more epic..

Edit: Fixed to perfection..

Seeing the above thumbnail, I'm wondering how the credits will read? "Created by Gene Roddenberry" or "Based on Star Trek created by Gene Roddenberry:". Probably the latter, but there is that whole 55 year pick up thing.
I'm thinking the former, like Law & Order: Criminal Intent: "Created by Gene Roddenberry, Developed by ..." They added some stuff, they took away some stuff, but fundamentally it's still a series that comes directly from "The Cage." The WGA has rules about this sort of thing. :)

Nigh on perfect with the sound off. Bravo.

And 2 Steps From Hell can make hemorrhoid ointment commercial music sound epic. It's no stretch for them.

Faith of the heart doesn't work with the visuals.

I like the colorful reflections on the hull, and the theremin at the end. The rest is very generic music. Was hoping for something much more exciting, epic, uplifting, adventurous... this is just random meh music.

Honestly, I found this music to be

a.) exciting
b.) epic
c.) uplifting
d.) adventurous

Different tastes and all. But I'm sorry we diverge here.

Yep, it is great! I would say the space shots in the middle might be a little uninventive but Enterprise part and planets part are giving the viewer the pure essence of the franchise.

LOL I already posted that on page 2. Now there's a couple new ones with the TNG and Prodigy themes.

I watched an episode of Prodigy. Honestly, nothing impressed me enough to watch a second. The theme tune was okay, the CG was cartoonish - not really a flaw in a cartoon, is it? A "meh" kids' show. Lower Decks is all right. I've seen about half of the first season of that one.

I am so fucking tired of this joke - the "OMG, they dubbed 'Faith of The Heart' over another intro ROFL" thing. It's getting to be up there with all the cute videos of Enterprise blowing Discovery to smithereens, or TOS Enterprise blowing JJprise to smithereens, or TOS Enterprise blowing TNG Enterprise to...okay, you get it.

I guess for some people this shit never gets old. It's like yelling out "Shut up, Wesley!" Super lame, but if you laugh at it they let you in the clubhouse.

I watched the intro on the big screen TV last night, the way I guess it's intended to be seen. The CG-ness of some of it is diminished considerably as distinct from displaying it on my computer monitor.

I also see, from the clips at the end of the twenty-two minute featurette with Wil Wheaton, that they have a metric shit-ton of elaborate space effects in this series, many of them pretty amazing. That does affect what you spend on any given shot, money and time-wise.

Not a fan of the music. It’s all over the place. so far Prodigy has the best theme song out of all these new Trek shows.
