Hardly. I agree 100% with what Jesse Gender says about it.
Complete slop. The writers know absolutely nothing about genetics, and pushes generic determinism. Bigotry should also not be a joke aimed at one of the main characters.

It's magic space aliens who can change the race and demeanor of the person (as seen last season). If it was just genetics the Chapel would have fixed it the last time!
Oh I'm not referring to the Vulcan part, but the stuff with La'an that Spock seems to back up.
I agree it was my favourite episode of the season.
Some good news and some bad news for the Trek soundtrack nerds among us: The score for season three has just been released digitally (I’m actually listening to it right now and it’s superb), but for whatever reason there are apparently no plans to release the season two score folks have been waiting for. It’s so strange that they just skipped it for no reason. One has to wonder what the story behind all of that is. (TrekCore article here.)
Nice, I hadn't noticed that yet! I'll check it out. Sad that there's nothing about season 2 though.

Isn't that a little strange there's no news/rumors about the season 3 in blu-ray.
Not really. Granted, it does mean it won't be out as quickly as the final seasons of Disco and Lower Decks or Section 31 were released, but there is no real pattern to these things anyway. If I were to guess, since they're not planning on having it released before Christmas, it'll probably be released in the spring, possibly as a promotional tool of sorts for season 4. "Catch up on season 3 before season 4 premieres" sort of thing.
Despite a growing malaise over streaming services for a whole litany of reasons, I get the impression that production companies want to hold off sending their shows and movies to BRD too soon. Shit, Netflix is particularly guilty of this - very few of their things have ever been made available on physical media. I still hope one day to get Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance before I get too old to see a TV screen clearly anymore.
I hope they save the sets for another production. I'd like to see a new show takeover the existing assets rather than destroying them. Any type of deconstruction/rebuild is a fortune and unlikely to happen unless a new production is approved almost immediately.

It's usually about 6-9 months following the end of the season these days that it drops on blu-ray.
