Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

Trek already has it's version of The Doctor in Wesley Crusher.
Forgive... I should have stipulated that it should actually be a good Doctor character crossover, instead of some insufferably smug know-it-all who won't ever shut up.

In fact, I should also probably further qualify that statement to NOT have them include the 6th Doctor.

Doctor Who's future itself is hugely questionable right now, BBC's not in a position to do a crossover with CBS even if they wanted to. And a comic and a mobile game is one thing, but Dr. Who was still on Disney Plus last I checked (I know that deal may be unraveling or ending soon but as of now they're still linked) and I just don't think Disney would allow any publicity like a crossover for Star Trek that's historically been the biggest sci-fi rival to Disney's property Star Wars (I mean George Lucas even named the prequel villains the Federation).

Honestly we can just assume that Pelia's time traveling doctor reference is about Dr. Kovich and move on.

I kind of liked how they used Doctor Wesley IMO in Prodigy. Good use of the character.

Fingers crossed. They are going to do it! Kill Kirk and make the show set in another timeline. One filled with future Captain Pike tv movies! :)

If BBC actually wanted to do a Doctor Who Star Trek crossover, Disney wouldn't have the authority to disallow that, as that's well outside the purview of their agreement.

That wasn't meant to be a Star Trek reference, and indeed, George Lucas is a Star Trek fan himself, or at least a TOS fan. After all, Abrams was on the list of directors Lucas himself thought would be a good choice for TFA.
