watched Amok Time for the first time since SNW started this morning as part of my TOS rewatch…
alot of it certainly does hit different or take on new context given all that has gone down, including the events of the musical episode. Spock hurling the bowl of soup in the corridor and yelling at Chapel in particular. The second scene between the two is also a bit more charged…“my name is Christine” after he calls her “Miss Chapel”.

How? She doesn't have any "magical" powers or special knowledge, She's just very old.

comes across very differently for me now given the events in SNW.
Though I don't for a moment believe that she and Flint are from the same species they're both just essentially immortal and have been around for centuries or millennia. With Flint his only real power seemed to be automatic tissue regeneration and healing but after leaving Earth he had begun to age naturally and was expected to die at the end of a normal human biological lifespan.
