Considering they cast a 39yo to play a 26yo, I'm guessing this is in fact TOS era Kirk from around 2269, and he comes back in time to Pike's era or something.
That's what I figure. I mean is that even the Enterprise bridge he's sitting in?Eh, he's probably commanding some small ship or something they don't mind handing to a fresh newb.

So its likely he's in command of a different ship. The consoles have tan or brown edges. Those aren't the Enterprise bridge colors in either Strange New Worlds or TOS.
Is Paramount about to unleash the Axanar?i will say this, i'm interested to see how Wesley's Kirk and Peck's Spock interact if at all.
I really hope they're not making him a young Cpt. Kirk![]()
I doubt it. It's a poor fit if so.
The Kirk addition is not.
2260. He’s in season 2 not season 1.Oh fuck this! I had so much hope that they wouldn't go immediately to Kirk, but apparently they WANT to make this more like the Kelvinverse than the supposed Prime Universe they kept saying they'd honor. Great! Its KIRK! Wonderful...but CAPTAIN Kirk?! This better be some kind of time travel episode or something, because as far as I know he'd be a commander at MOST by 2259...but I guess we'll just forego that, right?!
Season 2, not season 1.Well fuck.
So much for "something new". I am SO DONE with nuTrek shoving legacy characters everywhere.
In the first fucking season no less.
Have fun, guys!![]()
The uniforms look good at least. In this shot, he doesn't appear to be wearing the Enterprise badge. It's possible they put him in the chair with the Enterprise badge just for the publicity photo
