He said he turned down the chance to audition for a minor supporting role in SNW, he didn't say it was to play Phlox. I don't think he'd have to audition to play Phlox again.

He does say that he'll probably never play Phlox again in live action because of the makeup, he'd happily voice the character though.

This is mostly correct.

He told me yesterday that the audition he turned down was actually for Prodigy, not Strange New Worlds.

Just a teaser. It does not really give us much about the show. But it looks interesting. It definitely gives me a sense of awe and wonder. The shuttle looks TOS accurate.

I wonder if they're just going to do some version of the TOS theme for the opening credits

Also that Communicator, I guess we did see the SNW one in DSC Season 4.

I'm curious if the Horse bit is a flashback to when Pike first took command of the Enterprise. Not sure how that would fit in after the Discovery Episodes.
