Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

They could mock up full virtual TOS sets (or anything) on their new..., I forget the name.... LED wall screen thingy. ;)
They've got full TOS sets on their Official TOS Set Tour in Ticonderoga, NY. Apparently they were approached about filming there awhile ago but nothing came of it.

IIRC, when those sets were the New Voyages/Phase II filming sets, the lack of soundproofing meant takes would get ruined by trucks passing outside. And the lack of air conditioning made things quite unpleasant in summer, especially for people in prosthetics (like J.G. Hertzler in Of Gods and Men)

But I'm sure they could make it work if they needed to, and that the result would be far superior to any virtual set.

I mean if they think Kirk was a Herbert I can very much see them seeing Pike as well. Thankfully Spock will be around to jam with them if need be.

So Paramount+ has no excuse not releasing the trailer now. They released the first trailer for Season 2 of Picard over 6 months ago. Why are we waiting for a teaser to be released a month before the series premieres? Why the hell is Paramount being such stiffs?! ANYONE FROM THE INSIDE GOT ANY DAMN INFORMATION OR WHAT?! I'm actually getting angry now...there's no justification for this lack of coverage and advertising! NONE! THEY ARE INTENTIONALLY SABOTAGING THE SUCCESS OF SNW WITH THESE ACTIONS!!! Its JUST LIKE the Star Trek Beyond lack of advertising....there's literally no info for the casual viewer to tune in...only info for the DIE HARDS! What is up with that?!
Because Star Trek Picard season 2 episode 1 just premiered. For me it's interesting that they premiered Picard while Star Trek Discovery still has three episodes remaining ( including the one that premiered the same day as the first episode of Picard.)

Yeah right now their push is to draw attention to the new Star Trek that is actually streaming at this time.

You'll probably see the marketing push begin for SNW when there are three episodes left to stream for Star Trek Picard.

But yeah you're not going to see a marketing push for another Star Trek show when there are two Star Trek shows still airing new episodes, and one of them is just beginning its new season.
