Kurtzman Trek readouts mostly suck. Too blue, too busy and too much chaos. They don't have to directly mimic TOS but more color and less clutter would be a big improvement.
Continues: putting the "fanatic" back in to Star Trek fan film. Only enjoyable by real fans. Your mileage may vary. Look both ways before crossing the stress. Past performance is not indicative of future results.Continues was amazing, but I'm sure only fans can really enjoy it
Say what? The 1701 was lauched circa 2240 - the Discovery in 2258. <--- That's a near 20 year difference here.especially since the Discovery and the Enterprise were supposed to be contemporaries of each other.

nice! though my one fear about SNW is that they're going to revert back to the outdated 1966 enterprise
DSC is overkill personified when it comes to different just to be different and market merchandise.
You've confused Alex Kurtzman with Rick Berman. But you don't have to take my word for it, here's what Ron Moore himself said in January 2000:It’s kind of a “we’ll meet you half way because we hate TOS” sorta thing.

I feel a similar way. SNW sounds good. It appeals to fans dissatisfied with Discovery and Picard due to not feeling right. But, SNW will do the same and will not produce the warm fuzzy feelings that is desired.Elephant in the Room: That's why I think they're making a mistake by even having this series in the first place. A lot of people here think they want this show, but they really actually don't. It's never going to satisfy what they want, which is this impossible idea they have in their heads. They like the idea of SNW as a series, but they'll never fully like the reality of it being an actual series, when they're finally, really watching it.
