Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

I never understood the incessant, almost pathological need to make shows in the miniscule time period between DSC and TOS, other than to reuse existing sets and props. And even that is irrelevant, since CBS Trek all looks the same whether it takes place in the 23rd, 25th, or 32nd centuries.
They want to use Spock. I think that's mostly the reason.

They can use the TMP-WoK period and get all the Spock they want. They can even dredge up Chapel-Spock again since the movies have no closure to any of their TOS drama. Heck, since Spock is due for at least 2 Pon Farr's during this 12 year period CBS can indulge their Spock shipping tendencies to an even greater degree than SNW did if that's possible.

Because the best series in the Trek franchise was set in that time period. Perhaps you heard of it, it was called:

STAR TREK
^^^
Without this one - none of the other would exist.

Hey, the Earth-Romulan War and early years of the Federation.

Just sayin'. There are 93 years between the end of ENT and "The Cage(TOS)" and almost nothing has been done with it except for the U.S.S. Kelvin and a few flashbacks and a couple of Short Treks.

Or the show that I know without a doubt that every Star Trek fan everywhere wants: the 70 years of the Lost Era between 2293 and 2363. Monster maroons for the win, baby!

Forget SFA ending on a cliffhanger, we probably won't ever find out what Kovich and Zora wanted with Craft or what the consequences of Zora letting him get away are.

Zora: Craft, that's really just a code name isn't it?

Craft: My name isn't important. I'm just a guy. A Future Guy. (winks at the camera)

Time to go to another universe for stories. I want them to do a show set in the universe were Picard couldn't attend Worfs birthday party because he was busy on the bridge.
