Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

Bit of a worry that there is no international distributor (per the panel), especially as this would be one of the shows which Netflix had first option on. I hope they sort out something before the premiere.
The show only start to shoot in Feb which mean it's a Long way off so they have plenty of time to make an international deal

Avenue 9
Space Force

Comedies are supposed to be funny, although I give Space Force points for actually trying.

I am literally going through all the Seinfeld seasons right now when doing cardio in the gym, never got around to it until now.

Just a reminder, this could still turn out terribly...

Oh, sweet, they released the first episode on YouTube. Thanks, Bill! Looking good.

They had plenty of time for Lower Decks and Short Treks too, and there's still no word on either front. Oh well, hopefully something will be sorted out.

So when McCoy makes his inevitable appearance, does he wear a science division badge or the red cross of medical?

Medical, until he doesn't. Though some TOS nurses had the cross.

I always figured McCoy had scientific responsibilities on the Enterprise beyond Chief Medical Officer, which is why he wore the science division badge. Neither way would be "wrong" just interested in how people see McCoy. Has he always had responsibilities outside of medical duties or is it a new thing when he joins the ship.*

*We know that sometime after he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander he served time on Capella in some form. While it was just footage from the episode that we see in the Briefing Room, it showed he already had a bigger part than purely medical.

I think he was in charge of Life Sciences.

I’m looking forward to seeing how pike deals with the vision of his fate, how does he cope with the fact that sometime during his life time he’s going to get exposed to radiation and horribly disfigured.

Totally psyched for SNW. A return to episodic is my preference. Though I was a bit more psyched for Picard. If I had to rate my level of anticipation:

1) PIC 2
2) SNW 1
3) DISCO 3
4) S31 1
5) LD 2
