It does, but it just upsets my OCD as every other poll I’ve seen on Trekbbs used the reverse grading. What might instinctively might feel like a 7 will have to be converted to a…3, which is counterintuitive to me. [edit, a 7 would be a 4 actually. I’m so confused and I evidently can’t count]

Also, inexplicable rank changes have been dealt with before in canon. See O'Brien, Rand, probably others.

Also, Spock in TOS: Why was he referred to in official records as a lieutenant commander when he wore commander stripes?

The more level heads at Memory Alpha can deal with it.

Dark-skinned people can become lighter-skinned with age.

Just like Kzinti can turn pink... :)

I remember the Kzinti fur being orange, but their spacesuits and ship being pink. Was there actually a shot where their fur was rendered pink, or are people's memories cheating again?

It looks fine to me. I much prefer this ranking order.

In this case, April starts the episode in his 70s with white hair and gets younger, eventually ending up with brown hair and a close copy of Kirk's face. I'm mildly surprised he didn't turn pink along the way.

Hahaha. Well, the transporter can cause the "Jackson Effect"...

Ah, you're right. :) That's still 6 years in the future for me.

He's being a contrarian. It's what he does. Plus it's a subtle way for him to see who'll fall in line behind him and do things his way. Anyone who's submissive to him and his opinions is someone he can dominate over.

He's playing a lot of you for fools. I don't buy any of his act because that's all it is. He might like SNW, to a degree, but the rest of this is all a song and dance.

I just suggest if you don't like the scale (or are worried that people will misrepresent it), post how you score it and what that means. If you want to give it a 7 as your example, and that means like a C or a on scale that 0 is the absolutely worst and a 10 is the absolute best, then its not hard at all for people to understand.

I used 10 options to be consistent with what people evidently expect from some of the other Trek episode topics here.

Five options are more than enough, and when I created the polls for The Orville episodes I used five.

Is this really the place for this, regardless of what one thinks of a poster?

Gonna wake up early tomorrow to watch this. Fingers crossed that this is more successful than CBS' prior live-action shows.

We have some data, but we still don't know how it actually plays on screen. I'm ready to find out tomorrow.

I think I managed to avoid some of the spoilers by looking away fast enough & closing the spoiler button again.
But I really wish I had more self-control for this...

Yeah but the Orville sucks so you really don't need that many options....I kid.

But my anal nature make me want to give more specific grading than even the ten options, so I am never going to be happy about most polls.
