Meh. It makes me think more of Friends than 90210. Not that I believe for a moment that Academy is going to be anything like either of those two shows.

I have such mediocre hopes for this show. Just don't be like DISCO or a teen CW drama.

I just was surprised that the marketing is that on-the-nose.
Also, the fact that One Tree Hill premiered a literal generation ago suggests that the P+ marketeers may not be quite as dialed-in to the tastes of their target demographic.

If it doesn't, at best it will air the second season that's filming. (Or they'll scrap it for the writeoff.)
I'll give it a shot, but virtually nothing works in its favor for me. (Even having the awesome Paul Giamatti, Holly Hunter, and Robert Picardo won't work if the writing ends up being like DISCO.)
