I rather appreciated that scene at the end. Then again, Patton Oswalt has something of a special place in this house, what with my daughter being obsessed with Ratatouille.

Telling people to tune out is fair enough but don't forget that a lot of people losing their patience with this season have been fans of the first two, so it's not like they're mindlessly hate-watching for the sake of it. The complaints are often coming from people who were invested in the series and its potential.

Everyone obviously has different limits of what they'll tolerate before dropping a series too - I ditched Lower Decks after three episodes but stuck with Discovery until about halfway into season three. If the fourth season of SNW is a write-off, I'll probably just abandon it midway through..
I watched through Season 3 and Pike remains my second favorite captain after Robau. But my staying won't make it better and I'd take take my extremely limited time to watch media and enjoy it rather than see the toll frustration is taking on me.

Right now reading the opinions and the complaints then seeing scores of 6 make me think it's not as bad as the complaints claim it to be.

That's me though. I don't wait for it to get better. I had some good times and then I can move on.

This exactly. Execs don't ultimately care what you are saying on a fan website
They certainly seem to create everything trying to please the fans so they do care about what the fans say.
I wonder if they also read fan fiction. This show seems so much fans pleasing that sometimes it feels like a "meta Inception".
Now, do they worry about the negative comments? don't think so, cause they know that even the ones who do not enjoy the show overall, they will keep watching for the occasional good episodes or just "because Star Trek".

Just watched, some thoughts:

The vulcan transformation was based on Spock's vulcan DNA, and his mind/psyche. All his feelings of inadequacy as a half-human, half-vulcan came out in the crew's "He is a HALF Vulcan."

All the logic training they got from Spock; but also made up a bunch. Pike trying to restructure shifts in 42 minute intervals? That's not true logic lol.

I wouldn't call it a comedy episode but it certainly leaned a bit in that direction. Vulcan Pike narrating the opening credits had me giggling.

8/10

Yes, but not part of the question "What Vulcan before Uhura manipulated the brain of a potential mate?"
And you thought I was looking for a list of criminal activity? Now that the issue is cleared, do you at least willing to accept what Uhura did would be considered unethical, perhaps criminal, to Vulcan society?

No I thought you wanted a list of Vulcans who manipulated the minds of potential mates. The criminality is not relevant to the question.
Where did I or anyone state that it wouldn't be unethical or criminal?
Hard to say what Vulcan society makes of such actions. They psychically bond children to each other as a form of mating.
