Same with time, it doesn't have any more meaning for the Q than the Wormhole Prophets.

And it went in a pretty fun direction, with the fake news wedding as the backdrop, and the Spock relationship front and center.
It's nice to see Chapel written an an independent woman, with a mind of her own (who knew they had those?), but hopefully not at the cost of future Spock. Lay this to rest please.

Ugh. This one didn't work for me. Easily the weakest of the first three. Gave it a 6. Yeah, I know it was supposed to funny, amusing. I just didn't find it to be that. And it had the same lame resolution as the TOS episode, which is not amongst my favorites. Just played for yucks and then parent saves the day. Ok a little cool to hear Q.
That was major F up for this episode. The centennial aspect was lame! Show something from the Federation's history! So many possibilities.
I've also notice that the music is more TOS-esque this season (unless I just missed it previously).
It's been very TOS in past Seasons as well
Q experience time linearly, it's just that their linearity doesn't match up with the normal universe.
The moment when Spock first meets Sam Kirk is almost a lift straight from an old TOS episode. Whimsical, fun and breezy, and I loved it.
And SNW S1 Spock Amok where they include a wonderful rendition of the original TOS S2 Amok Time Vulcan Combat music. LOVED IT!
I have to admit, I liked this one better, even though Spock's reaction to losing Chapel didn't seem deeply emotional enough, other than that lingering shot of his misty eyes upon finding out. But I suppose you don't want to dwell on melancholy... Loved the actor playing TrelaneQ, and the callback to parents swooping in to save the day was nice. Tying up the episode with the Sun, Moon and Stars quote was also a very nice touch. Thought turning Korby into the maid of honor and later on a dog was amusing, as well as the "rigorous intellect" quip, but admit to even laughing out loud at the "punch me" Kirk moment. The foreboding Gorn shell shock moment with Ortega was an interesting way to end the episode. I give this one a solid 8.
