Blood based therapies are common in today's medicine. Not sure why this draws ire.Khan recuperative abilities were noted by McCoy in “Space Seed” and blood plays a part in the healing process, so…sort of?
Who are all these long time fans?I gave it a 7/10.
Episode overall was good but the way they broke canon with the Gorn is really an insult to long time fans.
Indeed. Another fan from the “class of ‘66” here.Who are all these long time fans?
Sweeping generalizations like this are insulting to all the other longtime fans like me who've been watching since it aired in 1966. You can be insulted all you want but you do not represent the whole. The echo chamber where you kvetch about this with other like-minded individuals is not as big or representative as you need to believe it is.

He wasn’t actually dead. That’s why he rushed to the cryotube and was almost killed by the treatment. There's "healing" and there's "bring Kirk and a tribbles back to life."
So a showrunner has claimed. The final episode.Pretty sure we will this season
Wait. I missed this bit. What did the showrunner claime is happening in the final episode?!So a showrunner has claimed. The final episode.
Agreed. I don't go all the way back to 1966, but I've been a fan ever since the original series syndication days and I've never been "insulted" by changes made by later productions. The very notion is laughable.Who are all these long time fans?

Such things have been mentioned innumerable times since ID and are routinely ignored. My wife’s company, TODAY, cures leukemia with a blood-based treatment. It’s not science fiction. It’s science fact. The “magic blood” complaint might just be the least supported complaint about anything to do with science and Trek…ever.
