My whole life, I’ve been waiting for someone to say that to me.Shakespeare doesn't translate well from the original Klingon.
Yes.Did we really need to adopt Marvel and DC Comics editorial methods to keep Trek "relevant"?
It always has been. It not a new thing.Trek's showrunners have, with this episode, doubled down on Trek being "our" future and not just a parallel universe like say, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is (I don't know about you, but I'd think I'd remember half of the population disappearing and reappearing these past 5 years).
Why is it a bad thing? And I'm still wondering why it's so damned important that Trek's future be "our" future. Far as I'm concerned, that ship sailed a LONG time ago.
It's a proven method and it works.id we really need to adopt Marvel and DC Comics editorial methods to keep Trek "relevant"?
This is baseless, counterfactual speculation. But the writers couldn’t get the green light to use Archer, so they moved it a century back and rewrote it around Khan and the Eugenics Wars.
My favorite moment may be when La'An realizes that Kirk has never heard the name Noonian- Singh.
also on TOS he was not famous, they had to review history to remember him.Kirk in the Kelvin Timeline seemed to have no idea what a Khan was when Kahn finally owned up to being Kahn.
But Kirk in "Space Seed" knew all about Khan Noonian SIngh. As apparently did everyone else on his senior staff. I mean, the dude was Space Hitler before Michelle Yeoh.Kirk in the Kelvin Timeline seemed to have no idea what a Khan was when Kahn finally owned up to being Kahn.

They knew him by reputation, but they didn't know his face.
