At least it took until the third season for "photonic torpedoes" to be introduced. The first two seasons were spent with the glorified cruise missiles known as spatial torpedoes which, honestly, were great although I'd have armed at least a few of them with low-yield nuclear warheads since this period in history was supposed to see those in at least some use by Earth.

Maybe they're all chamomile tea addicts, with Jean-Luc being the only exception with his Earl Grey preference.

So La'an steps onto the bridge like a stranger strolling into the saloon where everyone stops playing cards, drinking beer, and conversing to size her up.

BTW we are now 3 episodes into our new season - and Pike is still missing in action.

Did it took Anson Mount this long to film his Marvel cameo?

He has a newborn at home or at the very least a very young infant.

Fulfilling Starfleet's mandate to seek out new life. Well, he found it! Now it's time for lifelong diplomatic relations.

Tight close up on La'an's eyes.

La'an Van Cleef!

That X-Files type guy who arrested Guinan and Picard in Picard Season 2 recounts a flashback where a Vulcan used a transporter near him when he was a kid, which was dated circa mid 20th century.
IIRC, other races have transporters in Enterprise. It's just us knuckle dragging humans who have recently discovered it.

Yep. Meaning in that changed history the Vulcans showed up on Earth more than once in the 1950s or 1960s or perhaps the Carbon Creek crash never even happened and that particular incident involving Agent Wells as a child was the Vulcan landing of that era.

I doubt it. The crash and the thing with Wells were referenced in PIC, which is a modern Trek show and thus set in the revised timeline.

blame the network executives for that one.

I'm sure we can blame them for a lot of things.

And then they keep the same weapons set for 210 years. I know fighting isn't Starfleet's preferred method of problem solving, but that's like our troops today using breech loading single shot rifles.

Which typically become strained during the teenage years...

I've a feeling Vulcan was keeping tabs on us for the 100 years between Carbon Creek and First Contact.

This assumes that photonic torpedoes are exactly the same thing as photon torpedoes.
This like assuming breech loading rifles and M-16 rifles are the same because of the word "rifle".
