TFF has lots of problems. Sybok was not one of them for me. We have 4 seasons of Spock's sister. I'm more cool with Sybok.
Touché.

Same message Trek has always had.
I loved this episode. I love that they embraced the goofier aspects of TOS and gave us this campy romp with space pirates and the return of Sybok. I want more Captain Angel, they're the best villain P+ Trek has introduced and I love that they're essentially a 90s Disney villain.
It was all about the message that nuTrek feels obliged to, It doesn't matter if it makes sense or not.
Yup. Little has changed.Same message Trek has always had.
Not gonna lie……didn’t see it coming.
It makes perfect sense to me, maybe try to learn something new instead of relying on ignorance. It was all about the message that nuTrek feels obliged to, It doesn't matter if it makes sense or not.
It makes perfect sense. Keitel is a non-binary person that uses she/her pronouns. Pronouns do not gender make. There is no one right way to be trans.
The message that "these people exist and deserve acknowledgement and inclusion just as much as anyone else does." Horrifying, and completely nonsensical. I can see why that gets you all in a tizzy. It was all about the message that nuTrek feels obliged to, It doesn't matter if it makes sense or not.
You cared enough to make a stupid comment about it.I don't care either way, but it was really taking me out of the story and back to our sad 2022.
And TOS did that all the time for me.I don't care either way, but it was really taking me out of the story and back to our sad 2022.
Trans people have always existed and will continue to exist for as long as there are humans. Attitudes that they don't belong are what make 2022 sad.I don't care either way, but it was really taking me out of the story and back to our sad 2022.

It's just having trans people exist and have people respect their existence without question or comment. If that is hammering something into your head then I really question what you feel is reasonable and it isn't an issue, it's an entire class of people who exist whether you like or not.The two of you talking about ignorance while calling me ignorant and stupid? Loughing out loud!
I have never said I had any problems with trans people. It's just the way that nuTrek is trying to hammer that issue in our heads that I don't like!
Sounds like a "you problem".Yeah, but it has never been that annoying in the TOS/TNG era.

Wow. You think current Trek's approach is "in your face"? That's the funniest thing I've heard today.Who do you think you are to question my feelings? Please keep this conversation on a neutral level!
It's just about how you handle these topics in a move/tv show, straigt in your face or subtly intelligent.

It's just about how you handle these topics in a movie/tv show, straight in your face or subtly intelligent.
