I meant to say 23:02. I was looking at the wrong time index.

    Thank you, NCC-73515.

I am wondering if that is a yet unknown Enterprise.

Did La'an decide to drop Singh from her name? In the recap, when they showed the clip of her introducing herself to Pike, I noticed that the audio cut off so that she just says La'an Noonien instead of La'an Noonien-Singh, plus later in the episode, Chapel refers to her as just Lt. Noonien.

So would that make each Enterprise off by one so this NCC-1701 (2245-2285) would be the NCC-1701-A
    • NCC-1701-A (2286-2293) would be the B
    • NCC-1701-B (2293-23??) would be the C
    • NCC-1701-C (23??-2344) would be the D
    • NCC-1701-D (2363-2371) would be the E
    • NCC-1701-E (2372-????) would be the F

Liked it. 8.5. Script a tad flabby, but serviceable.

Theory time: what if the reveal about Una is what forces Pike to get promoted, as a way to protect her, thus setting up the events that would later befall Pike? Hmmmm...

    Looking forward to more SNW!

Those are "Landing party" jackets. They have finally gone back to calling the teams landing parties.

Probably did that to not spoil the reveal in the episode.
I wish they would just get rid of the bloody recaps. They don’t add anything. Especially when SNW is episodic.

Scotty wasn’t being constantly reintegrated and put back in, instead he put himself in a diagnostic loop. So it’s still different
    NX yes, but Daedalus no.

One of the artists on the show said it isn’t a Daedalus, I asked him if it was a Jefferies design, he didn’t respond but did like my tweet.

So it could be one of the Jefferies concepts that inspired the Daedalus but not the Daedalus itself.
    It’s not a Daedalus.

But also the Daedalus was already in Deep Space Nine, there was a model of one in Sisko’s office.

Hemmer trying to beam up a piece of the planet's mantle is my favorite moment in this episode.

Number One's tunic rips as easily as those of Kirk!

I can't seem to be able to vote on this one. No buttons.

I think it's the weakest so far, but I really enjoyed the last few scenes. So it started rather meh and ended up pretty good.

They seem to be going for the idea that each of the main characters is going to have a "story" of some sort. Not sure how I feel about that.

So a lot of people were right about the title. Adopting the name of Number One’s homeworld from the novels.

It says the poll was closed on Monday. Maybe a mod locked it to prevent pre-airing voting.

So Mbenga is an incompetent and selfish prick?

I really felt this episode grinding to a halt. The attempts to give several character darker sides were clumsy, perhaps because it was three characters at once. I found myself comparing this episode to Dr. Bashir, I presume, Daedelus, and at the end, Pale Moonlight, all to the detriment of this episode. I never felt that the motivations of the characters were given their due: excuses were tossed out without being explored.

I will give credit to Romijn. I don't think that her acting is strong, but I find her characterization to be well thoughtout.

No, she said Noonien Singh in the opening episode. I just checked.

No, the 1701 is the first to bear that number. There could be a number of Enterprises before that with different numbers. The A began the tradition at that point (though other Federation ships might also have such a legacy).

Of course it is. Look at it. I don't care what someone says on Twitter. The image doesn't lie.

Considering they created the image I think they’d know better than you.

I’m guessing it’s not a Daedalus, but one of the Jefferies designs that inspired the Daedalus.

It looks exactly like a Deadalus class. Between what someone says, and what I can see, I'll pick the latter, until we see a better image.

Just starting. My first take was, "they got Tom Hiddleston to play an Ensign???"
