That would have been a good call, and a LD type gag
And it would have gone a long way to giving credence to a theory I heard before about there being two versions of the Trill species... just one more rare than the other (the ones we see in "The Host"). Similar to the Aenar and Andorians. Or the five Xindi species.

That's the episode.

The Time Police waited until the Picard Adventure was over, to pinch Rasmussen's stuff, when they could have as easily shut him down before he arrived.

Some squint with a badge had Berlinhoff Rasmussen on a leash from the moment he was conceived.

Whatever an Enterprise Time Pod is, google doesn't think it's actually called an Enterprise Time Pod, so I don't see why I should remember it either.
None of that happened in the episode...

Rasmussen was caught by the Enterprise D crew, and the time-pod returned because Rasmussen had set it to and was caught outside the ship when the timer went off.

I've been reminding myself the wrong story for 30 years because I blinked when I should have been listening, but shouldn't the pod still be in New Jesersy? And it's still more likely that the Picard told the DTA and they told the 26th century by memo that some one had to die, but make sure that his future clothes fit Berlinghoff perfectly.

Matt Frewer is after all, unnaturally thin.

Cue a certain sector of fandom complaining about small galaxy syndrome, and why SAM would know who Mariner is/was.
That part of the sector would be me LOL.
My complaints are already lodged cuz they keep mix-matching 'old' aliens.
At least DSC gave us the Ba'uul and the Kelpiens and a very interesting dynamic between them.
SFA/ACA should have had completely different aliens, at least SAM is a new form.

Not really.

They had photonic lifeforms in both Voyager and Lower Decks.

I just noticed a potential continuity error. If I'm not mistaken, in the unexplained phenomenon classroom, the display right next to the Sisko mystery is for "multi-species accelerated evolution" and features prominent imagery of... a Progenitor. Of the same Progenitors that were classified Red Directive top secret just a few years ago in Discovery.

I suppose some of the events in season 5 of Discovery, the interactions with the Breen come to mind, mandated partial declassification. I mean, it's really just the tech that needed classification and not the existence the Progenitors themselves, right?

I'd say it's safe to say that was the Discovery crew being lied to.

Because Picard never would have allowed Starfleet to bury the whole thing with the Progenitors.
