^ Assuming my research skills led me to the correct answer, the guy who made those comments on Trekspace is a 51-year-old male from Louisiana.

The guy is gonna be a legend here at TrekBBS pretty soon. He and Capt Rob April might hit it off, although I don't think that's fair to CRA. Whoever wrote that diatribe is certifiable.

That last one, the Slant Magazine review is the most negative i have read, though it isn't surprising. Slant it seems to have a pessimistic point of view of everything, politics, religion, movies... etc... But I guess they still rated it as fresh.

I have to wait for the following week to see it.

The ratings are crazy for this thing. My negative nature is having a hard time accepting them without skepticism. I think it actually makes me think I'm not going to like it because there must be something wrong with it, there's just no way that can be right.

I think that says more about me than the movie though; I'm hoping it is really as good as they say.

Funny that that guy and I disagree diametrically about the Kelvin scene. I get the sense that he's really jaded and cynical.

I wonder if people like that ever smile. Didn't like the opening scene. Thought Quinto was bland. Calls Pine a "himbo," even though neither he or Kirk fit the definiton. And, it's a "war picture." WTF.
