Speaking of, I'm disappointed Janeway wasn't in this, especially since the story revolved in part around the consequences of what she'd done in "Endgame." There was a missed opportunity for us to see her reaction at her chickens coming home to roost.
This was my major feeling throughout the entire scene in the Queen's sanctum. Seeing the sorry state of both her, the collective and her ship, and listening to the depressing, completely insane shell of a person she's become, I kept thinking about Janeway. Of course, it's personal for Picard, and it's the finale of the TNG crew, I got it. But Janeway WAS her largest nemesis for several years and in a roundabout way, she WAS the one who dealt such a crippling blow to her. I couldn't help but have this strong feeling that Janeway had every right to be there with Picard, even though a mere Mulgrew cameo wouldn't have worked with this plot. At the very least, the Queen could've mentioned in her insane ramblings how she can console herself with the fact that by the year (2404) arrives from where the Janeway that destroyed her had come, she'll have already assimilated the entire Alpha Quadrant, and Kathryn Janeway will be nothing but a memory with only the Collective to remember her.

Apparently they weren't allowed to use her because of Prodigy.

Someone said Terry mentioned it in an interview.

I wondered if picking "Anton" as the first name was intended as a tribute to Anton Yelchin.

I think we can pretty much take that as a given.

I thought the finale was a 7/10. Some bits were absolute gold. Others were....less so.

I'm not a fan of them killing off Shaw. Honestly thought they'd back out of that somehow this week, but nope. Dead. Loving the attempt to set up Legacy, but wtf do we have to have Raffi anywhere near it? Jack however, hell yes!

Hopefully this is the end of the Borg. I don't think I ever want to see them again. Previously I was of the opinion that Voyager ruined the Borg through over-exposure, but Picard's had them in EVERY season in one guise or another. Please, no more, just let them go.

Re-naming the Titan, just like, why? The Mrs loved it, I eye-rolled. Hard.

This has been by far away the best season of Picard, and arguably the best season of nuTrek. Not without its faults, but they were few and far between for me. I wish they'd gone in a different direction with the last couple of episodes, I think the show peaked with episode 8, but it was still good enough, especially compared to previous seasons.

Legacy now please.

Its becoming more clear that the main TNG cast consumed most of the casting budget..IE why we only Tuvok once and Goovok once, Ro in one episode, etc.

To be fair, SPS is a big name, and the rest of the crew do command significant payments even if they're not high profile actors anymore

I was frantically trying to think of what Janeway's saying was. I couldn't remember it (if she had one). I was hoping she would say that and I just had forgotten.

I think it should be "Comply." in her 2370s, retro stern Seven tone. Let out her inner Borg.
In Picard, S3E1 (IIRC), Seven piloted the Titan out of space dock and I got a distinctly Old Seven vibe from her when she said "you may clear all moorings." Some variation on that, maybe?

"You may fly."
"You may hit it."
"You may engage."
"You may GTFOOH."

Remember that this episode was filmed over a year ago; and giving everything else they had more than enough time to ramp up a Legacy series if they wanted to; but the series they announced was Starfleet Academy in the 32nd century, and a Section 31 streaming feature film.

I suppose it's possible that they could try a Legacy streaming feature film, or miniseries; but I have a feeling that's not in the cards right now.
They are likely going to gauge how much interest there is before green-lighting anything Legacy related.

Which is a shame, because I'm pretty sure after that Finale the intrest will be a lot higher for it then a 32nd century Starfleet Academy show.

Did it not strike anyone else that the Enterprise D scenes were so similar to Star Wars ?

The Enterprise D flew into the cube to destroy the central core, just like the Millennium Falcon flew into the sphere (Death Star) to destroy the central core.

Troi used her abilities to know where a family member was…just like Leia hearing Luke at Cloud City.

The Enterprise D swung round, just like the Falcon does in The Rise of Skywalker, to rescue people.

I almost mistook The Borg Queen for Palpatine up there looking down when it turned out she was still alive.

The Enterprise D was still inside when the explosions started, but outran the fireball to exit at the last second, just like the end of Return of the Jedi.

Aside from this, and overall, the writing on Star Trek: Picard was great in the latter episodes so roll on…:

Kirk of Borg !

I would think so, and I really enjoyed that whole sequence; and how they managed to work in a nice tribute to a good actor who passed away long before his time. (and a good Cameo voice over from an original Star Trek actor too.) It didn't feel out of place in any way at all.

I'm gonna say what I've already sad in the speculation thread: considering that Galaxy-class frames have been designed for 100 years, the Enterprise-D could've had a good few decades left in it even with the damage to the saucer from the crash. Even better, the stardrive section probably only saw normal use before it was decommissoned. If any ship had to be rechristened as the NCC-1701-G, I would've preferred that the D be done so, after an extensive refit of course. Perhaps under the command of Captain Data (freshly promoted after the one-year jump). Seven's ship should've remained the Titan, because giving her a Voyager would've been infeasible from a production viewpoint, even though that would've fit her journey the most.
