Yeah. The question for me is, when the Queen basically accuses the Federation of genociding the Borg -- is she correct? Did the vast majority of drones die? Or were most of them liberated from the Collective's control? Is there a huge diaspora out there of XBs? If so, that would go a long way towards explaining why prejudice against XBs was a meaningfully large phenomenon in PIC S1. Maybe the Alpha Quadrant has spent the last 23 years absorbing wave after wave of XB refugees post-"Endgame."
I suppose time was of the essence and Picard felt the Jurati Cooperative was too far away.
Personally, I think it would have made for a stronger episode if there had been a "Han Solo saves Luke" moment by having Jurati and the Romulans appear just when the Titan seems like it's about to be destroyed to save them. It would have tied in better with S1 and S2 -- the Romulans refusing to turn their backs on the Federation as the Federation did to them, and the Jurati Queen proving that her Cooperative are based on consent and benevolence rather than tyranny. And both of them inspired by the leadership of Jean-Luc Picard.
I suppose time was of the essence and Picard felt the Jurati Cooperative was too far away.
No, he wasn't, and that wasn't his to decide.
Anyway, if I were the writers I would call her Captain Nine rather than Captain Seven, but it's not a big deal either way.
Maybe this is nitpicking but it seemed to be pretty close to Earth. When Picard got to the Stargazer Jurati was still in her party clothes from the planet she was on with Soji. But even if they were far I guess there was no way to send them a message or contact them either?
Yes, the Queen is correct...Janeway did mass genocide the Borg. Is it the Federation per say..no, but she's not entirely off base.

The writing on the wall was when Sidney referred to her as Commander Seven, which Seven confirmed was a matter of respect for her.
Captain Seven is a natural progression from that.
Who knew that the Ent-D was so nimble and agile? In TNG she seemed so heavy and slow. I guess Geordi must've added a lot of "special modifications" to her over the 20 years!
From your comment here I'm guessing you didn't understand Q's explanation. Why? In a lot of ways it was actually worse than 2. What's amazing is that it even managed to make 2 worse by effectively making Q's "death" pointless nonsense.
The entire last episode was just that. Complete absurdist nonsense. Literally nothing made any sense. It was just completely stupid nostalgia bait.
the cube we see in Prodigy was not liberated, but they weren't dead either. Just heavily damaged.I don't know if it's clear that her pathogen killed most Borg or liberated them from the Collective, though.
I mean, Janeway was clearly acting as an agent of the Federation government in "Endgame," so one way or the other the Federation must bear responsibility for her choices.
I don't know if it's clear that her pathogen killed most Borg or liberated them from the Collective, though.
Well, the Borg control signal might have been interfering with regular subspace comms in the Sol system, but you would think they would have been able to send a message from the Fleet Museum. But either way, that doesn't mean Juati's ship would be able to extricate itself from whatever situation it was in, in time to arrive to help fight the Borg.
Yeah, of course. I'm just saying, if I were the writers, I would have written the Seven of Nine character as preferring to be addressed professional as "[Rank] Nine" and personally as "Seven," as though she considers "Seven" to be her personal name and "Nine" to be her surname. But again, whether she's written to prefer "[Rank] Seven" or "[Rank] Nine" isn't that big of a deal.
I prefer to think she was always capable of moving like this and we the audience just never saw it because of the limitations of 1980s television.
Man, the Enterprise-D design still looks great though, doesn't it?

I liked hearing from the Federation President. But it just makes me want to know what was happening on the surface even more...
From your comment here I'm guessing you didn't understand Q's explanation.
This was always the way it was. Anyone who knows anything about Q knows this is the way it always was. Because Q don't exist in a linear fashion to the rest of the universe.
It's like in DS9 where the Prophets first encounter with linear beings was the first episode of DS9, even though from Bajor's perspective the Prophets had been interacting with them for thousands of years.
To put things simply, the Q that "died" at the end of Season 2, was the Q from the end point of Q's lifetime. While the Q that Jack encountered at the end of Season 3, was the Q from an earlier point in Q's lifetime.
I prefer to think she was always capable of moving like this and we the audience just never saw it because of the limitations of 1980s television.

I apologize Eddie, I missed where you said length
The kwel E-D flying through the Borg cube scenes felt like I'd seen it before somewhere.![]()
Borg Queen: If you will not be assimilated, you will be destroyed! (starts zapping Picard with electricity)
Picard: Son, please!
Borg Queen: You fool. Only now, at the end, do you understand. Your feeble speeches are no match for the power of the Borg! You have paid the price for your lack of vision. Now Picard, you will die.
Jack: No. NOOOOOO!!!!
(suddenly picks up Borg Queen and hurls her down a conveniently placed bottomless pit in the middle of the room)
The Enterprise-D was the same as always.Who knew that the Ent-D was so nimble and agile? In TNG she seemed so heavy and slow. I guess Geordi must've added a lot of "special modifications" to her over the 20 years!
The Borg Cube had moved out of Jupiter when it exploded. The Borg cube was in the eye of Jupiter when it exploded. So shouldn't that have affected Jupiter? When I watched the scene, I half expected the explosion to cause Jupiter to become a protostar.
Yeah I know that's why I finished the reference for you with an additional scene.I actually meant the Falcon flying through the Deathstar. Our heroes even had to destroy the core in the cube.![]()
